December 2022 - 3 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Liberty

As Expected

Overall it was enjoyable and as expected. It was our first cruise post-covid so my standards were less than average. The staff made it enjoyable, made memories with my family, and having a balcony view was all worth it. I was on a cruise ship and on vacation during Christmas season! Can’t complain. We got free Santa hats and the Holiday Show was good.

Carnival Victory

April 2019 - 4 Night Western Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Victory

Of the three cruises I have been on this one was the most disappointing. I love the ship because of the size, we were at capacity and it only felt crowded in the middle where the pools are. I was only disappointed with our steward. We never saw him and I didn’t even get his name. The other 2 cruises we always saw our steward and they greeted us, knew our names, and made sure we had everything we needed. They even made conversation. This one did not. I could tell he was overworked and just ready to get off the ship. Buffet was as expected. Sushi was delish! Loved eating in our dining room, all the wait staff were friendly and did a great job.

Carnival Ecstasy

October 2018 - 4 Night Bahamas (Charleston Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Ecstasy

Our second cruise with Carnival and it was a pleasurable experience! The water was choppy the first 2 days but that was due to Michael. I’m just glad they didn’t cancel! The room was nice and our room steward Johni was great! Our bathroom smelled a little of pee and sewage though. The cruise director Gary was fun and entertaining. Food was to be expected, Guys Burgers was the best to have right when they open because all the toppings are available and fresh. Every one was nice on the ship including fellow cruise mates! Very easy getting on and off the ship from Charleston and Nassau!

October 2017 - 3 Night Bahamas (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Victory

Left out of Miami port and came in the night before to stay at a hotel. Being our first cruise it was very impressive, the staff was excellent and very friendly! It is an old ship but kind of cool with the vintage feel. The shows are very outdated but had it’s entertaining moments. We ate at the buffet instead of dining rooms because the food was not appetizing to us. Most of the other cruisers were very nice and social. Nassau was beautiful and we had no problems with the marketplace people, just kept walking to get to the taxis. Getting on and off of the ship was a piece of cake too, highly recommend getting Faster to the Fun! Our room was perfect too with a balcony and not being above or below a loud area on the ship. Looking forward to doing another Carnival cruise on a different ship!

Expect what you pay for.

Nassau, Bahamas

We didn’t get off the ship and enjoyed the ship with less people. Port is still under construction.

Mariner of the Seas

One piece of advice would be to not use your debit card on your account! Use cash or a major credit card!! We used our debit card and they charged us twice once we were no longer on board! Customer Service stayed that it could take 5-7 business days to get the money released back to our account and I have read many other reviews that said it took them 30 days for the “holds” to be released!!

Key West, Florida

Loved the vibe of Key West. We just walked around. I do not recommend going to Margaritaville. We got there when they opened and they were rude. Service was slow and they only had 4 tables when we arrived. Food and drinks were good. A little walk from the peer, about 5 blocks.

Cozumel, Mexico

Port was busy with 2 other ships there and had to walk a couple blocks to get to our excursion but expected it so didn’t bother us. We went to Playa Mia and it was awesome! Very friendly service and everything we needed for our family was there. Once another ship had to leave we had the place to ourselves! Definitely recommend it with the transfer pass if you have little ones.
