Overall it was enjoyable and as expected. It was our first cruise post-covid so my standards were less than average. The staff made it enjoyable, made memories with my family, and having a balcony view was all worth it. I was on a cruise ship and on vacation during Christmas season! Can’t complain. We got free Santa hats and the Holiday Show was good.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
FTTF is the best and only way to go. We checked in and waited 30 minutes before getting on board.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Mediocre. Breakfast in the dining room was good. Used buffet for most meals. Wok was good but long line.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Bingo, Camp Ocean, Trivia, ping pong, mini golf, pool, whirlpool, serenity. Serenity section is next to playground so not so serene.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Bingo and trivia was our go-tos. Carnival is the best with entertainment and schedules. Always felt they had more options of things to do than RC.
Children's Programs

Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Most of the staff were friendly. Some were not and I didn’t not take offense as they are over worked and it’s the holidays. Adam the cruise director was fantastic as Jen and the rest of his Fun Crew.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
I booked this cruise not only for the price but the design. I loved the decor and old style. The Flowers Lobby (level 3 mid) was my favorite as well as Promenade (level 5 mid) where casino is. Wish the Flowers Lobby was bigger because it was always hard to find a seat when trivia was happening.
As this is an old ship I expected the smell. Sewage was horrendous by day 3 in our room. Couldn’t smell it as bad throughout the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
Curtains were stained looked like oil. Overall cabin was clean. Do not book midship level 6 unless you don’t care about peace and quiet. We were right on top of the casino where they play music until 12 am.
