Enjoyable Vacation
Overall I enjoyed this cruise and the ports. Carnival Magic is a new ship in the carnival fleet which they do a great job maintaining. I was not happy with the number of people or the bottlenecking on board. Looking forward to booking my next trip.

Cruise tips
Very busy port! From what the shuttles says it backs up and can be hours. I don't foresee myself using this port frequently.
Super hot. Paid $20 cash to do a tour off the ship. Excellent tour of the city. Walked El Morro on our own. Free Trolley back to port area.

Explore the ship! It took us all week to figure out the layout!
Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic
Carnival just built this port. Free pool here. Very clean.
Walked to Jack's Shack. $10 cash for chair. Used beach and my own snorkel equipment.
Excursion to St John and Snorkel in Trunk Bay. Too much talking, not enough snorkeling.
