I've taken 6 of my cruises to Alaska..loved everyone of then all the ports are different..the scenery is spectacular..the weather is cool and never snowy maybe some rain..the glaciers are slowly disappearing..so go quick for a great view of them..i will always pick Alaska as my best of 25 cruises.! I'll be back again...love Alaska!!Â
Cruise tips
Pretty easy to take the tenders in and walk around the little town for a couple hours and get back in the line for hour and a half to reward the tenders.
Did not get off at this port again we live in Southern California so getting off at this port is totally worthless. I really wish that the Cruise Lines would pick a better port to do there one day Jones act stop over. Again stopping way out in the industrial area of this port you have to pay to get into town it’s a shame because they should give you a free shuttle from the cruise line to get into any port knowing when you’re in a port you definitely will be spending money and helping the economy. But no such thing this time on the carnival miracle Cruise
Didn’t do an excursion on this port didn’t have the money for it and didn’t trust the Covid so we just took a private taxi over to the military hotel and shopped around there we are U.S. Navy veterans and it was something that we thought was extremely safe for us to do. Plus all the prices in the shopping area there are about 50% off what they are on the outside. So we saved quite a bit. And they have their own private beach totally safe and beautiful grounds to walk around and enjoy the gardens.
Did not do an excursion again in this port very disappointed that we park so far from town that you had to pay five to $10 to get anywhere industrial ports are not very good for cruise ships to park yet. Last time we were here on a Hawaiian cruise we were able to get off and immediately do fun things on our own this time you had to take paid transportation everywhere you go on a cruise line did not offer you any kind of a free optional shuttle
Carnival Miracle
Don’t book a cruise on the miracle you will be very disappointed better to stay on a new cleanership like the panorama for instance still sailing out of California for the last six months since the restart. We were on it the first month it came to California and we had an excellent forage and an excellent time. Hoping to have that time again when we stay up up on the Panorama again September 2023 for a back to back Mexico voyage
nice port....did our own tour..went to the beach area
As we live in San Diego and it is only a two-hour ride to Ensenada for us. We did not find disport anything exciting to do very dirty your shoes and your clothes got very dusty. If you want to going to town for a quick beer and watch the locals begging for money. Otherwise we stayed under the ship this time and did not do anything but wait for us to leave
Nice port nice area lots of things to do you can walk the whole area and do lots of things on your own without having to pay the high price of an excursion. Great shopping area right off the tenders. The only port in the Hawaii cruise itinerary that we had to take the tenders in. But it was pretty quick and pretty nice once you got there .
no excursions...too pricey...toured the beach...our 2 nd visit here..previously we did all the typical tourist stuff.
