YOU WANTED WHICH SHIP?? WHAT CABIN?

Entirely predictable. I alluded to the ol "rubber band" effect awhile back. A gazzillion frustrated cruisers climbing all over each other simultaneously...ought to be fun...course, there's no guarantee any of these "schedules" actually come to fruition. The article is about CCL, but it just as well could have been any one of the others.

We're on the books for December 21, and March 22

2022 bookings is the safer bet right now.

We have had 4 cancelled and counting. We have 4 booked for 2022.

After this last round of RCI Cancelations, we had to use their "Lift and Shift" Program again...We got a different Itinerary, on the same ship, in the same room, from a different port. I have a feeling this was only because I applied for the L&S 5 min after receiving the cancelation notice.

Just now I tried to find a cabin in the same area for my cousin, and found the ship to be down to approximately 400 cabins remaining, which for a 6,000 passenger ship, 431 days out is pretty impressive,

Yepper...we've got 4 in 2022...two from b4, and two added as more schedules became available...whether they sail or not, who knows...but we figured out loooong ago, that if cruising was to be a good part of our leisure $$, then booking waaaaay in advance was the way to go. Occasionally, the price is adjusted downwards, and we can fix that, but even if it doesn't, we get the dates we want, the cabin we want, the dining/show schedule we want....and depending on the cruise line and ship, there are certain amenities that are available only to a small number...

Thanks for sharing, We have been booked for Feb/March 2022 since Feb,28, 2020. Long before we knew about a year's worth of shutdown.
