What an interesting difference in current cruise line policies. ENSURE you check with YOUR cruiseline

Please check directly with your cruise line and or their website. Different lines have very different policies.
Wow, looking at the policies for cruising and they vary greatly. What got me started was that I saw some posts on RCCL policy where most Canadians are considered unvaccinated as the government in Canada deemed it safe (and the science has proven them correct) to push second vaccinations beyond the 42 day initial recommendation. In my case my 2 jabs were 62 days apart. But RCCL also allows unvaccinated staff and passengers onboard.
This got me interested so I went to the NCL website and are they ever different. NCL current policy is that 100% staff and passengers must be vaccinated. Period. They state that children under 12 that cannot be vaccinated are not allowed to sail. They also state that they will not reduce capacity and have no restrictions and no mask requirements and no social distancing requirements as they are 100% vaccinated only. They will re-evaluate this for cruises beyond Nov 01.

Yes it was and is described in this article

Interesting. Do you know how that came to play by chance? Was it some court overruling DeSantos somehow?

Huzzah! I see that as of last night NCL can require passengers to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination despite new Florida law that bars companies from doing that. This allows NCL to enforce its 100% crew and passenger vaccinated policy.

We are about as excited as newbies too .. comes from not being able to cruise for a year and a half

Hehehehe...our Nov cruise is 114 days away....we don't think of it as being "far away" at all....been "discussing" it off and on for weeks...you'd think we were newbies............but then, given the past year and the changes, seems like daily, you're right.....flexibility (and patience) is a good thing...especially where cruising is concerned...

With everything in flux, I am not surprised the cruise lines are changing their requirements. The ports of call are mandating things and if the ships want to dock at some ports, they will need to abide by those rules. Our October cruise is so far away, that what may be true today will not be then. The key to all of this is to be flexible.

Thanks for the heads up!Happy

My port of preference is NY and they definitely have a different view point.

Thanks for the research. You can't tell the players without a scorecard...y'know the one that also tracks moon phases...And you KNOW i'm going to ask...just how do they verify your vaccination status? In at least TWO states, with several major ports, they're not even allowed to ask....
