Viking has announced expedition ships!

Viking Cruises has announced that they will be launching two expedition cruise ships! Even though I will likely never be able to afford a cruise on one of them, I'm SO excited. As many of you know, my cruise on Viking Sky was the best voyage of my life thus far and I adore this cruise line. I think it's so cool that some of their itineraries will be in the Great Lakes. This article is long - they revealed a LOT of details about the ships. But if you're interested, it's worth the read! Love

A great lakes cruise...that could be interesting. If only one of the ships would homeport in Buffalo

How do they cruise in ice? hehehe

I know very little about the Viking brand except for river cruising. What makes Viking so expensive? Is it because they take a low number of cruisers?

Very cool.

All inclusive

I dont even know if Lake Erie froze yet...and i live less than 6 miles from it

This looks interesting. Viking Sea cruises is on our wish list. There are currently other line that operate in the great lakes such as Pearl Sea Cruises Great Lakes Cruise Co, and Victory Cruise Lines. They are not cheap by any stretch.

Right!! I would love that too - I live just a few hours from you over in the Finger Lakes and a cruise from Buffalo would be SO easy.

This is really exciting – the ships and itineraries look amazing! Thanks for the great article, Sarah!
