Vibe Beach Club

Is it worth the $200pp fee to get a Vibe Beach Club pass? Is it real that hard to find a lounge chair on the sun deck that hasn’t been claimed by leaving there stuff most of the day.

Don't know what happened to my orig reply I can guess, but why bother. It USED TO have SPICE until they expanded VIBE. Doing it on all ships with as VIBE. Turned "free" into a profit center. I'd pay DOUBLE the going rate. Get up there the first day. Go old school, introduce yourself to the regular bartenders, usually with a $20 each. Unlike CCL, NCL's drink pkg is good all 7 days.], so get up there day one, even of its just to introduce yourselves. Go old school, shake their hands, be satisfied that they're the regulars. Tip an extra buck if you like per drink, but I don't bother. Its not hard to get a spot at all..or it didn't used to be. Depending on the ship, umbrella, overhangs, either or both, shade can be at a premium. No sane person wants to be in the sun ALL day. We've asked them to reset the umbrellas many times...no problem at all.Leaving for lunch? I've never had our stuff moved, but I won't swear it can't happen. You'll get used to the extra goodies they pass around...real quick. Those bartenders are there for a reason..its a plum job.

We're on BREAKAWAY again next. The bartenders said they were redoing the VIBE soon. SPICE was outside the sliding door anyway. Curious to see what they've done to our fav place.

I’ll let you know, booked on the encore feb 12. The Encore doesn’t have SpiceHT0 so we wanted a “quiet” place without kids!

I don't have any solid evidence, but I based my comment off of the number of available cabins. When I booked the Encore there were dozens, but I believe there were fewer than five on the Prima. Now these were studios, but I'm assuming the ratio is similar throughout the ship.

How do you find out how much of the trip is sold, I asked the Norwegian rep we are working with and we’re told she didn’t have access to that information?

Hi QC! I did Vibe on my Encore sailing in Jan, and even though it wasn't necessary as we were sailing at 50 percent capacity, it was great to get away from the (relatively little) noise and hustle of the regular deck. There is a private bar and towel service and restrooms and the deck staff are always on point. I spent about half the cruise in a hot tub lol. I'm sailing on the Prima in Jan and I already reserved the Vibe pass, especially as it's going to be nearly full this time. Plus, the bar staff get to know you by name on day one, and the deck staff give you (what I assume is) Haven-Level service. Aside from the watch I buy on each cruise, Vibe is definitely the next best purchase IMO.

You may have to deal with someone like me with a BT speaker but it's all adults so we don't blast it and turn it down if asked!

Yes, its about 650 for the week, which includes admission and its all yours. Each one has an individual "gate"... If I remember right you get a small OBC to sweeten the deal. Double size lounger...its just a clamshell...but be aware when the sun hits them they get very hot. we did it once and decided it wasn't worth it. Rather be social, at least with THAT crowd.

Are the cabanas an extra fee and if so what do they do keep it reserved the whole time?

It has two large hottubs, and every trip has had the best REGULAR bartenders, well worth the grease up front. Big umbrellas, plenty of loungers, no hassles over leaving your stuff and coming back later. Requires separate key card (they may have upgraded that, I'll let you know) and theoretically a wristband too, to get in the door, (but stopped wearing ours after the first day) And its enforced...no rugrats whatsoever, mostly veteran cruisers who know how to behave. Capacity extremely limited. Used to be a footrace to GS to get passses...now they can be reserved online, until they run out. FWIW, having a HAVEN cabin doesn't include the VIBE...If all it was was the view, theres lots of free places all over BREAKAWAY. Going DEC 11 after next one on VISTA. Kinda hard to get to...no elevator to it...and thats fine....

That will depend on a lot of things.

How full is your ship? We just got off of Joy. She can go 3804 passengers, we had 2918 passengers with only 18 under the age of 18.

Also the itinerary.

Weather also makes a difference

Also the location of it on the ship. Don't think it has a private pool. Haven does.

In our case the only benefit of Vibe was that it is top forward so the view is awesome ... but is the view worth the price?
