Trying to pick the perfect ship

Hello fellow, cruisers, trying to decide whether to book the celebrity reflection, the carnival horizon, or the Royal Caribbean oasis of the seas. Any thoughts if if you’ve any of you have been on it, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I LOVED Oasis, but my cruising style may not be the same as yours, so the "perfect ship" is the one that appeals to you most.

We have sailed on Celebrity Reflection before and have enjoyed the ship itself as well as Celebrity service. We like Celebrity and have sailed on them many times, always a good trip. Sailed on Royal Caribbean once in the past, Voyager of the Seas, one of the worst cruises ever will never sail with Royal Caribbean again. One Carnival Cruise about 20 yrs. ago, our first cruise. It was ok but we never sailed with them again.

I have been on the Horizon and LOVED it! But I can't agree more with Gil155 and Marty. It's very personal! Just because I loved it doesn't mean anything. You could hate it. But my vote is still Horizon. Happy sailing!

Just to add to a previous post on this. Cruising is very personal, so IMO, I don't think there is a perfect ship, I don't like the super liners, prefer a capacity around 1,000 - 2,500. Other people prefer the super liners, it's all personal preference.

Best advice!!!Love

IMO - there is no PERFECT cruise ship. If there were -- EVERYONE of us would be on it, and the other ships would disappear. Maybe.

What interest me, may have ZERO interest to you, and vice versa.

Re: your question.

While every member of my family is Carnival Cruise Line I have zero desire for Carnival, yet cruise on one of the Carnival Corporation family lines - Princess.

The Oasis Class. If you want excitement and non-stop activities, with a group, or a family, excellent choice. Many folks love the variety of activities. You can have my cabin, as I will not be using one.

Celebrity. As stated elsewhere on this site, my last cruise was on the Edge, and I LOVED it !! I have wanted to try Celebrity for years, had a terrific opportunity, took it, and LOVED it ! Will I cruise Celebrity again ? Yes !!

Your question, IMO, has no answer. We are each different, with different times of our lives. No matter what you book, take a good attitude. So many others say that in these opinionated comments, and I agree 100%.

Make YOUR selection. If new to cruising, you do not have many loyalty points, try another line if not satisfied. Please, enjoy your selection - for at least one cruise. Best wishes, and Bon Voyage !

If you're a party animal....Carnival

Going with kids or teenagers...Oasis

Adults only...Celebrity, or Oasis depending on the itinerary. Been on Oasis in the Med and it was fantastic. If it's a Caribbean cruise stick to Celebrity

Just a quick note: the Horizon is the siter ship to the Panorama which you sailed in October. Gives you an idea of size and layout, if that helps.

We have only sailed on the Horizon. We enjoyed it a great deal. However, this was before the ships started sailing at full capacity. We would probably go with the Horizon because of the familiarity. Like the others mentioned; best itinerary for the best price with the best cabin location are our general guidelines. Please let us know what you decide and why.

Would need to consider the itinerary but if all things were equal and the same itinerary based on ship preferences and not pricing I would have to go with Celebrity Reflection. Not familiar with Horizon and Oasis is one of those 6 k passenger behemoths so I would tend to lean towards the Celebrity ship. But I am sure pricing is not equal and could weigh into this.
