Travel agents

I have decided I want to stop planning the cruises myself and would like to start using a travel agent. I have been cruising for years and gone on dozens of cruises but have planned them all myself. I have no idea where to start with finding a good travel agent. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Can never find a "blushing" emoji when you need one... Big Smile

we use the web and buy lots of things like airplane tickets and hotel rooms. its easy to use.

For what it's worth, I have an agent that I use all the time. I find it so much easier to book with an agent, since they can represent you when trying to settle issues with the cruise line. We had to cancel a cruise last year due to a positive COVID test and was able to not only cancel our cruise (we discovered the positive test during the (at the time) required pre-cruise testing), but we were able to book a hold we had placed over the weekend (the person was symptomatic so we suspected we might have to cancel our cruise) in one call. They were able to work with Royal, explained what was going on, and we were able to transfer all of our pre-paid expenses to our new booking.

You beat me to it! If you are also on Shipmate, you can search for them in them as if looking for a “shipmate friend”.

We’re not supposed to advertise or shill for TA’s here. That being said, and not being one to abide by certain rules, there is a TA that posts here. Find the search forum box at the top and type in We Cruise Too. Several of us have used them.

Well, it may take a while and involve a few visits or chats, but, start looking. Now There will be some on this site who will suggest their favorites and even the agents on this site will give great service.

I know I get great information from this site.

We at home are really fortunate to have a great T/A who takes care of all our family travel with the exception of Princess. I have a great contact there and I won't switch from her.

When you find an agent that understands your needs and wishes, build a great relationship with them,

to give you an idea. Our agent recently sent my son a travel package, all set up and booked, Her instructions included when the Uber was going to pick them up and told them to have their passports, swimwear, and sunscreen ready to leave. She even called my wife to let her know the days she will be babysitting the grandkids and pets.

My son and daughter in law had a great 4 days 3 night holiday, just when they needed it.

So good luck and find the one you like and trust. and if you will pardon the pun.... smooth sailing.....
