Unfortunately, when these things happen, its rarely the pooh-bahs on mahogany row who get the axe. Its usually the folks at the bottom who magically are supposed to help the big boys fix the balance sheet by losing their jobs. Some things never change. But not to worry, nobody is going to feel sorry for us geezers who don't know what else to do with our money..besides, its probably a media hoax isn't it? …...New normal indeed....watching the USA fall apart makes me glad I'm the age I am...hate to be smack in the middle of all this and trying to raise a family again. My kids have kids, and I know they have their hands full...I just sit out here in the "back of beyond" and plan imaginary cruises.

I think I will just hide at the cottage and wait for all of the mess to settle. Nothing surprises me and nothing should not be expected. These are unprecedented times. Many workers are laid off so only makes sense that the cruise industry would also be in that boat. I am sure the airlines are not doing well either or the hotel industry or bars and restaurants or resorts. All of these will suffer and many will be slow to start back up IF they start back up.

....but...but...the news media says the cruise lines don't have US workers because the are avoiding taxes and... and... the "parent" nation has to pay for everything...and... and..it's all the cruise industries fault...and...and..Surprised

Seriously, no one knows what the new normal will be. I'm just hoping it will be cruise friendly enough for some of us older folks to enjoy! Maybe the cruise lines could use a little trimming at the corporate level.

Definitely going to be a new normal and adjustments to be made

Sure is, all the cruise stox are in the tank, but RCL is the worst of the bunch. I sincerely doubt all of them will survive this.

It is a business and the rest of the cruise industry brands and their partners/suppliers will follow suit. It is a mess.
