Solo traveller celebrating my 60th birthday!

Looking forward to making new friend aboard Carnival Conquest Oct 20-23. I’ll be at the steakhouse Saturday Oct 21 at 7:30pm.

This is my first cruise so any tips/advice is appreciated.

The Conquest is easy to navigate. It is also one of the most beautiful Carnival ships. It has an impressionist decor throughout. This is my wife's favorite ship so far. Its big enough to have what most cruisers want without being so huge it wears you out to get from one place to another.

My tip: If you enjoy the live entertainment each evening it's best to choose either early dining or my preference "your time" and try to get there about 5:30. This enables you to catch more than one performance in an evening.

Be social...wander around the ship...alot.....ships now are more solo traveler friendly than they ever were...you've got a short cruise, so consider it a learning experience....stop at the maitre d desk (guest services can help you find it) or the podium in the dining room, tell em you don't mind sharing they probably have other singles floating around ......IF thats your thing....BON VOYAGE!!!

Welcome.

Download and learn to navigate the Carnival Hub app. It will greatly enhance your cruise experience. In fact it's rapidly becoming almost mandatory to use it while onboard (making dinner reservations, daily itineraries, venue locations and hours etc....)

Welcome to cruising and welcome aboard. You should also consider joining the rollcall. This can be done here

The website also has an associated app which is usually more active. The Shipmate app.
