Question about birthday celebrations and Alcohol

I will be on the Carnival Splendor in July.

1. Can we walk around with alcohol, like a glass of wine or beer or is it restricted to food/drink areas?

2. My son and my birthday is June 12th. yup, we share a bday!! The cruise is in celebration of our bday. Is July 20th too late to tell them we are on the cruise as a celebration? We want to decorate the stateroom and have our celebration dinner at the steakhouse on the first night. They ask if you are celebrating a special occasion.

Any advice?

Thanks everyone!

1. You can walk around everywhere with alcohol beverage. There are very few places that are restricted ie kids areas, spa

2. You can celebrate at anytime. You can either decorate yourself (with Dollar Tree items or Party City) or pay for them to decorate your cabin for you. No one verifies when your birthday is. You can also request that a cake be sent to your dining table.

I would let them know sooner than July 20th if you want them to decorate the room. You can order any of that sort of thing as soon as you have made the final payment, actually maybe even before that. Call the "Fun Shops" 1-800-522-7648 between 9AM and 6PM Eastern time for a definitive answers on the latest to order. They have always been cordial when we called.

You already have the answer concerning carrying your drink. I do it all the time (if I have one).Wink

They couldnt care less..just tell them. matter of fact, I'd be sure to let the line know IMMEDIATELY, aside from telling them in the restaurant. who dyou think is going to check? as far as walking around with booze goes, what folks "might" think is tacky ashore, (or even illegal) is a lot more liberal on board. nobody will question it. for those who might look at you cross eyed, I usually lift mine in salute....ENJOY!!!

Cheers. Enjoy.

As long as you're on the ship, you can walk around with alcohol. I'm not sure about the answer for your second question.
