Ruby Princess questions

Hello guys! This is going to be our first cruise. I've read up on a lot of tips. Wondering if anyone can answer these questions: 1. Are the electric outlets two or three pronged?
2. How formal do women dress up? I have a disability so I can't wear dress shoes. I was planning on wearing a dress with ankle boots.
3. Anyone find cheaper parking than the port? We are driving to the San Pedro port on the same day, we live about 7 hours away so we plan to leave early. Any tips on parking? Thank you all so much! I'm posting this on another forum to see if anyone else can help. I hope we all have fun!!!

Thanks so much for your reply!

The Princess website states "For evening dining, keep with what you would wear to a nice restaurant at home: skirts/dresses, slacks, and sweaters for ladies, pants and open-neck shirts for men. Cruises five days or longer include at least one formal dining night: evening gowns and cocktail dresses for ladies and tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits for men."

The Maitre d' may or may not decide to enforce the dress code. I have seen shorts being allowed in, as well as jeans not being allowed in. It depends on how lucky you are.

The best bet would be khakis and polo shirt at a minimum.

Thank you so much!

One last question....are jeans (not torn, no cut outs) allowed then for dinner?

Absolutely! Enjoy your adventure!

Thank you so very much for the replies! And for telling me about not wearing shorts for dinner. I'm assuming for dinner a casual sundress is ok to wear then?

After reading your replies, I'm excited about formal night now. So thank you again!

The standard stateroom (balcony, oceanview, minisuite) has 3 US outlets. On the desk, there is a 3 pronged US outlet as well as a European one. There is a single 3 pronged outlet just below knee height next to the sofa. (depending on the room it could be on the bedside or not) There is another 2 pronged outlet (for shavers etc) on one of the shelves in the bathroom. Inside staterooms have the same number though I don't know where they are located in the room. Suites will have 5+ outlets.

Formal is relative, you will have no problem wearing whatever type of footwear you choose (long as it isn't mud-stained sneakers) Ankle boots are certainly acceptable if that's your footwear of choice but don't feel as if you have to wear something nice. As long as you look respectable you will be welcomed with open arms.

I also sailed from Seattle so no idea about parking I'm afraid

A dress with ankle boots will be good. Princess has a reasonable dress code even for "formal" nights. You will see everything from dress pants with nice tops to sequined gowns. They do not allow shorts in the dining room after the first night. They understand that for travel day many people do not yet have their luggage and the first evening rules are relaxed.

Sorry can't remember the plug. We sailed from Seattle so I can't help with parking.
