Room #1002 Summit 11 Day Caribbean Cruise Jan. 2020

We have a cruise booked for January 2020 (11 day Southern Caribbean Cruise from Puerto Rico) and received a call last week that we will not have Room 1002 (Aqua Class ) and they cannot give us an Aqua Class Room. We booked this cruise on board this past January and were told they would be new Aqua Class Rooms. If they did not do these rooms why was our travel agent not notified until last week when the refurbishment was done by March. All Aqua and Concierge level rooms are sold out.

We will be an Elite Plus member by this cruise and I am disappointed that there is no response. We have been loyal Celebrity customers and am not very happy with the level of customer service we have received.

Have others had this occur and if so how was it rectified.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Is there no Room 1002 on this ship?

Some cabin numbers changed as part of the renovation. There are more rooms in AC - BUT - the ship passenger complement is limited by the number of seats on the life boats (as it is for any cruise ship). So there are more cabins, but not more life boat seats.

As far as upgrade - last resort might be to "bid up" when you get within 30 days.

Have you called Celebrity directly?
