RCCL Pay for Perks

We are going on RC Liberty of the Seas in April 2019 and I purchased The Key (new pay for perks program). I paid $19.99 a day pp ($280) for our 7-day cruise. Has anyone done this yet? If so, was it worth it? The main reason I purchased it was for the special seating for the shows (my husband makes me go to all the shows) and it included the internet package, which I was going to buy anyway. I'm just hoping it's worth it.

Yes, we are on RCL Adventure of the Seas and then Carnival Conquest.Big Smile

look forward to your view in this.

So you are switching ships in your "side to side" cruises in March? That should be fun.

We looked at the cost of The Key, for our March cruise, and decided against it. It seems pretty pricey. We did purchase Carnival’s Faster To The Fun for our cruise following the one on RCL.

I will post after our cruise to let you know if it was worth it. Happy

Everything has a price!! Seems to be the trend more and more - cruising gonna start becoming more expensive???

Looks like you get to be the pioneer for this program. Sounds like it will be worth your investment but you won't know until you actually do it. Please, let us know what think when you get back.

Interesting. Nice concept. Must look a bit deeper into that one. Thanks for the info.

It looks like they are following Carnival's FTTF example - Although quite a bit more expensive, you get a bit more with it including reserved seating at shows. I haven't really delved in to it too much, but to me it seems expensive for what you get (again, following the FTTF exampleSad)

Looking a bit further, from the RoyalCaribbeanBlog website:

‘The Key’ benefits include:

Carry on luggage storage and delivery to your cabin on boarding day Boarding day lunch at Chop’s Grille Voom Surf and Stream for each guest in your cabin Private hours at marquee attractions Priority disembarkation on select ships and ports and tender service ship to shore The best seats in the house with VIP seating at pre-reserved shows Choice debarkation on the final day with an à la carte breakfast in the main dining room

Interesting. Have not heard of this program before. What is included and or what are the details. Is there a link to the description.
