585 Days til 8 Day Southern on Freedom

Those numbers are way too high...

Gotta wait till Feb for our next cruise. We were considering a fall cruise, but our brothers want us to visit them in AZ. I always wanted to see NM, so I booked a road trip for Oct. Flying to Albuquerque and renting a car. Staying 2 days in the Santa Fe & Albuquerque area, then driving down to Las Cruces for another 2 days. Then heading west to Tucson to see my wife's brother, then over to Phoenix to visit my bro. Flying home from Phoenix. Nine days and approx 800 miles.

Got 4 booked...Oct on VISTA (Havana Suite again), but she's leaving so thats that...then two on PRIMA in Jan and March...gotta remember to read a bunch, seems to be a "different" kind of ship, and then one on Liberty next Nov.. Normally by now we'd have another 1-2 booked, or at least be seriously exploring more...but we're ummm..."chewing on it"......and I don't think we're alone....

I'm packing for my next cruise, adjusting to a new job, and rebooked my Spring cruise. I moved my Spring cruise from the Venezia to the Liberty Of The Seas.

Next cruise is Halloween out of Galveston. We celebrated Carnival 50th anniversary ship meet up which was a dud, the horn sequence of the ships was out of sync, and all they did was watch Mardi Gras spin circles. We love ship horns tooting, all sounded like they had a cold,... low toot, but the mighty Breeze we were on was LOUD.

Now we are celebrating The Texas State Park systems 100th anniversary,by camping at the state parks No crowds, no chair hogging, no fights, cheap drinks (I was a bartender)We can fish without getting in trouble,, have our own dive in theatre, hot BUTTERED popcorn...the good life. Next big cruise will be on Jubilee. With prices getting high and service lagging, we will lay low cruising for a while, also with many changes of menus and vifp changes that is another reason to wait.

OldGreyWolf, you have it so right. Mondays are getting harder and harder to do regular chored plus wash all the white shirts (4), white tights (1-2), bloomers (2) and spot clean the velvet outfits. This week we also had an out of town guest overnight on Tuesday wholeft this morning and my trim was snagged by somebody's sword so now I have a mending task. We don't cruise until NYE! But this weekend will bring some folks we met on our January cruise to the Festival, looking forward to sharing this with them. It was their first cruise and they're coming all the way from Iowa.Love

Agree a slow time, extremely hot in the AZ Mountains, unfortunately no cruise till April 2024, Princess Japan to Alaska.

The more I open the toothy hole in my face at work the more work I end up doing, and the less time I have for participation. Sad

Only 359 days until my next vacation...

Round here, when I meet folks, which is rare unless I'm in town, which is also rare...they ALWAYS inquire as to your health...I've taken to answering..."as long as i remember to breathe IN after I breath OUT, I'm fine....

Sorry, didn't mean to be a downer. I wrote that post last night after reviewing my day's accomplishments. Reading OGW's post just magnified my frustrations.

But hey, it's all good. We're still on the right side of the grass, and that's the main thing.
