Been reading the hopeful responses to that thread. A better title might have been "CRUISING WITH COVID". I've got FIVE booked, starting end of NOV and into 2022. Not holding out much hope on ANY of them.
1) Nobody's sailing under any protocols whatsoever unless and until they're blessed by the CDC, and even then what makes anyone think the EU or anyone else out there cares what WE say? Our pols on all levels seem to have their own agendas, and many of them either lie outright or display an appalling level of ignorance..
2) What sane port "out there" would welcome a cruise ship anyway?
3) No matter what "protocols" are in place, I can just imagine the reaction when somebody's ship announces a case or three or 33 onboard.
4) I can't wrap my head around the "changes" the cruise lines seem to be proposing to get approval. Those of us who have cruised many times...well...I just don't see how its physically possible to pull it off..lines?? crowds? at almost every step of the process they're almost a given on cruise ships.
I'd love to be proven wrong, on every point. But that little voice in my head says find another way to vackay. and as I opined elsewhere..I tried, my heart wasn't in it...nothing compares to a "good" cruise....
