When do you start packing for your cruise?
When do you start packing for your cruise?
hours before we leave....30 miles from terminal
We have just returned from a cruise ( look for my review).
Suitcases were open, Laundry done all items used on cruise were put into Cruise Closet, hanging above the suitcases.
ready for the next trip.
Since the cruise line lost our luggage we had to replace a lot of items.
The only last minute items we have to pack are the toiletries and meds
Lost going or coming?

Don’t blame me. I haven’t been near a ship in 2 years. But, how does a ship lose luggage? It goes from your car, to a cart, to the ship.

What pack ? I just wait til everyone’s luggage is left in the hallway, then I bring some suitcases to my cabin. I pick out what fits, and leave a note that the TSA opened your suitcase. Then I just place the luggage anywhere, and it eventually gets to its rightful owner. At the end of the cruise I just get rid of everything.
Not only am I packed, but my favorite bunny is ready too !!
Four pounds of carrots in a 8 ounce carry-on bag.
The last couple times has been the night before we leave. In fact, right before I go to bed. That way I don't have a chance to open the suitcase multiple times to add things that I think I really need, but ultimately don't.
I'm a notorious overpacker.
I am similar to CruiseQueenNH. I have a cruise suitcase always ready with all the things I need. Special cruise tux and shirts have a 'deportation' luggage tag on the hanger so I can easily find them. Those, plus a standard cruise item list I have which is checked off a few days prior to departing. A couple special items? Blue and pink highlighters for paper daily (if offered) activity wants/desires to do, and three battery operated candles for nice mood lighting at night. Plus, plus, plus.
Actual packing (as in putting things in the suitcase) is the day before we board the plane. Today (Monday) I’m making sure everything we want to take is washed. Tomorrow (Tuesday) I’ll be making sure all the electronics are charging; travel toothbrush, earphones, etc. Wednesday, I’ll be checking all carry on items are full (shampoo, lotion, hand sanitizer, etc.) Thursday, put everything in suitcase (following a well used check list) and decide what to wear on the flight. Friday, up at o’ dark thirty to catch our flight to Miami. Set sail on Saturday on the Carnival Magic.
Thanks for an easy question, since we are currently in the process.
