WELCOME HOME!!! regroup....relax...

We are back. Rolled in at 20:30 last night. Earliest we have gotten home from a cruise out of NY. We started debarkation at 07:30 and were in the car and headed for home at 08:05. They pre cleared us in Portland ME but that is another story. Picked up the dogs from the kennel this morning and now getting settled back in.

Thanks all for the good wishes. We had a great time. There were a few hiccups (there always are) but we really had a good time. Will be posting a review once I get settled in and caught up on everything.

Our embarkation was a wet one. It was during all that heavy rain that the north east got on the 5th and 6th. We also had some rough seas on the night of the 11th and morning of the 12th from that hurricane that was east of us but all was good.

Saw 3 birds on the ship, real birds. Something I have not seen before. On 2nd sea day out of NY encountered a sparrow on top deck on the mini golf. He was pecking for food on the artificial turf. Then on last sea day between Boston and NY saw a small wren on our balcony and later on that day we had a northern flicker (woodpecker) on our balcony. Got a few pictures of that one. None of these are water birds and all were seen on sea days when we were well out at sea.

Totally enjoy yourselves. Hope one day we can get back to cruising but the world has to get a little more upright yet, to some degree.

Woohoo ... testing all done and negative .. ArriveCAN app all completed and receipt printed out .. dogs off to the kennel in an hour .. all systems are go. Leave 05:00 tomorrow morning.
