Now this is very cool. Something for crew.

Just came across this article. The port of St John NB has built a lounge strictly for cruise ship crew members.

Seaman's facilities like this are located in many places througout the world. Thay are generally available to anyone who works on the seas, from solo sailors to working crew on big tankers and cargo ships.

Generally, one must work on the sea as opposed one who has a motorboat for recreation

or a pssenger who may be taking a pleasure cruise.

A very nice perc for all working seamen. Happy

We were just in Saint John and saw their container mall first hand. Pretty cool idea. It exists only when ships are in port. When no ships it looks like any other container pier ... except for the bright colours of some of the containers. Could see down to the crew patio / deck area. Looks nice.

Thats awesome. The crew is underpaid and work pretty hard. Most go out of their way to help as well. Glad there getting some frills.

Pleasantly surprised...for years crew had to actually get off the ship to communicate home....must be showing my age...but adding some perks considering the shortages is good...hard to believe the poohbahs do ANYTHING out of the goodness of their hearts....

Wifi is a life line for so many of them. Its good they throw that in.

Very nice! There is aslo a "for crew only" section at Amber Cove.
