Cruise Radio reports: New Princess Restaurant Serves Family Style

We haven't experienced it on our cruises with the American Table, but I know there was talk of doing it when the new menus were introduced. Perhaps it's just at larger tables than our table for 4.

I sailed on Ruby Princess in December.

Experienced Share - I thought they only served big parties but it was just me and by boyfriend.

It was a good experience but not high on my list of things to revisit.

I made a video and wrote up my review on my website.

Curious about Share .. any reviews?

Most interesting. Certainly hope Curtiss Stone can make an improvement in the Princess MDR, in our opinion there has been a distinct degradation in both service and meal quality on our last two Princess cruises, taken within the last year, particularly the last voyage on the Coral in January.

Also hope the Stone "Chef's Table" turns out to be an excellent specialty.

It appears the "Share" dining is geared for short length spring break and booze cruise type voyaging where family and other sizeable groups travel together and dine together. Doubt if it will include tables for only two. Anyway, after the Coral, Caribbean cruise, misadventure in January we are staying away from voyages of short lengths. The elimination of Sabatini's appears relegated to only the smaller ships used on their shorter cruises.

Retaining Sabatini's for us is great. As on our last two Princess voyages we loved Sabatini's, probably because we like the Mediterranean diet. It made the cruise a good one for us on the Coral being that the MDR was so bad. Matter of fact, of all the speciality restaurants on the three cruise lines we frequent, Regent, HAL and Princess, Sabatini's has moved to the top of our favorites list. Surpassed the previous one, the HAL "Pinnacle" by far.

I'm not sure how this would work for a couple. We usually dine by ourselves... and we always share anyway :)

Carnival does this with the side dishes on the ships that have the American Table in the MDR.

Interesting, I am not a fan of Sabatini's. I have tried this restaurant on two different ships. Did not enjoy either one. So I look forward to trying Share.
