An outbreak- bound to happen. it will be interesting to see how this is handled and what it will mean for future travel.

Yep...bound to happen..bad enough some folks seem to feel vaccinations are unnecessary for a variety of reasons, ergo, diseases thought to be eradicated keep coming back...don't get me started...but folks from other lands cruise a lot too...

Either way, if you asked me to PROVE I got a shot 12,000 years ago...well...

If you want dangerous from an infectious disease standpoint...just fly a lot...

Friends sent me this too. I am curious of policy changes now as well. Vaccination discussion is not a can of worms I want to open.

Don't remember exactly what the form asks for, but b4 getting checked in you fill out this paper form asking what diseases OR symptoms you've had lately...I guess if you check yes, they send you back to Ellis Island or something..riiight.....thousands of s/a forms get put in a pile someplace, the ship sails, some fool gets to read em?? sort em? announce theres another fool ALREADY on board with some kind or virulent crud and actually admitted it. STOP THE SHIP!!! BAH!!! waste of time...

I agree completely about that "can o worms" ANNABELLALEE, we can't even begin to intelligently discuss that topic, nor do I really want to try.....when the next REAL pandemic hits the good ol US of A, not some political claptrap, and theres more folks dying than can be buried...well then...,it'll be too late to discuss it. Welcome to the 3rd world...Any "rules" that get put in place will have more exceptions than anyone could imagine. No one with the dough will be denied boarding...ever...don't cough, don't check the wrong box, and, you're done.....

And to think we were concerned about mere NOROVIRUS....

I remember we always had to fill out that little health questionnaire before we boarded but on the last cruise in December we didn't do it.

Do we know which ship it is?

Amen! Yankee! Amen!

Sounds like it is the MV Freewinds, Owned and operated by the Church of Scientology.

Was built in 1968, and originally designated MS Boheme, in service with Commodore Cruise Lines.

Has been in service for the Church of Scientology International since 1986

Presently flagged out of Panama.

First cruise ship built in Finland.

GOOGLE is great...you can instantly look up "facts" about anything...or what passes for facts...anywho, the COS apparently has no "official" stance on whether or not its practitioners can be vaccinated...lets you kind of jump to your own conclusions. so jump on....

Information is just a quick search away...as long as you know how to cross-check references, and obtain information from multiple sources
