Yes December 24, 2022.

Link worked, boy she is a great looking ship.

Our December cruises had to be re-booked. Our son-in-law took ill and was hospitalized (not covid). Our daughter and he were on our Mardi Gras cruise. Our re-booked cruises are coming up soon with Mardi Gras Feb. 5th and Nieuw Amsterdam on Feb. 19th. We will have to find something to do in FL for the week in-between the 2 but that is not a problem. We get discounted hotels through our daughter who works for Marriott. The HAL cruise line was wonderful for our booking. They found us a 7 day vs. 5 day with better ports for an extra charge of $50.00 and we did not have the insurance and have only cruised HAL twice. Carnival on the other hand really fleeced us. We went from two regular balconies that we picked & that were close together to guaranteed Cove balconies that ended up being on either end of that huge ship and one is right below the piano bar. To top it off they charged us an additional $1100.00. We are platinum on Carnival (16 cruises with them) and had insurance. We have tried multiple times to cancel with waived fees or get our rooms changed and they refuse. We had booked these cruises to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in 2021. Not much to celebrate now and sadly, this will be our last Carnival cruise, unless something changes.

Not on our radar, cruising Princess.

Same # here!....but anyway, went thru that testing rigamarole for our next one 11/27...three days to test turned into one! and you can't trust CCL to do it at the terminal anyway with their 11th hour "limited availability" nonsense....I managed to set it up, but it was turning into the odyssey of yankee doing it. Had we known, never would have booked that particular cruise...a week b4 or a week after would've been fine. Obviously you need to get tested either ASA you get off Mardi Gras or somewhere along the way, seems unlikely you could manage it embarcation day in Ft Lauderdale. I've found that so-called "walk-in emergency clinics" can be the best shot. Start actually calling, and some take appointments, and actually keep em. I've called to verify ours at least twice...Admittedly paranoid. But it CAN be done. GOOD LUCK!!!!

We will be on Mardi Gras Dec. 11th this year. We drive from the mid-west and the mandatory testing is really proving to be a pain. Still not sure where or how we are getting it done. Even worse is that when we get off Mardi Gras we are driving to Ft. Lauderdale to board HAL Nieuw Amsterdam. (Same day). Testing was not mandatory when we booked. Would never have booked if we had known. With all of the obstacles, not very excited about these cruises, #s 23 & 24 if I remember right.

Well that makes sense! But since it is homeported at Cape Canaveral (Orlando), perhaps they should have named it the Mickey Mouse or Daffy Duck, instead. Wink

I don't think Emeril is going to like this.
