The last 2.5 months have been wild!
We were on Grandeur of the Seas April 16-21, flew home the same day. On April 23, I got in my truck and traveled from Buffalo to Indianapolis for the Fire Department Instructors Conference International for 5 days.
For the 2 months since, Ive been playing catch up for my 2 weeks off!!
But I have returned with my invaluable..bull crap.
Just wanted to say Hi yall!.
This is one of those weeks where I find myself staring off into space, wishing i was on a cruise, Living vicariously through the pictures posted to the Shipmate app...I need another vacation...
Thanks! I think we've been traveling 10 of the last 14 weeks. It's nice to be home for a few weeks now.

Welcome back Opus. You were missed, and you missed a lot. So much has happened here in the last couple months it would take forever to go through it all. You'll just have to scroll through all the previous threads to catch up. Suffice to say that none of us have yet figured out who we want to be when we grow up.

Thanks for your instruction skills. I wish everyone could experience the thermal barrier in a controlled smoke house. Your arm can easily start sweating in the smoke layer above, but below the thermal barrier, livable and easy to breath near the floor. I explain to kids so often that 'stop, drop, and roll' REALLY is a life saving exercise and practice. Thank you for your education of others.
No, nothing nearly that exciting these days. Just the same old Horse Hockey of no work being done to my standards while I'm not in the office.
My specialty is Youth Firefighting Programs - 13-18 year olds who haven't yet graduated from high school, and training them to take their NY "Required" courses to serve as a Volunteer FF. I avoid the General Public, and Cameras like the plague. but they always seem to find me, especially the GP.
