How do you pay your prepaid gratuities?

I learned an interesting thing from a crew member this past cruise. It isn't exactly "how much you make, but how much you bank". Meaning that the pay may be small but most of it can be banked as the expenses are extremely small. So doing a comperable job elsewhere might pay more but less could be saved. Didn't change our tipping practices.
I am most in agreement with 'ableman'
I always prepay tips, PLUS, tip my room steward the first (and last day) and others during the cruise whom leave a positive impression on me. I believe tips are an important portion of their income. The vast majority of the crew I never encounter deserve their small pittance of my overall daily tips the cruise line charges me. I will NEVER short them by withholding the ship's daily charges.
If I can cruise, I can afford another $100-500 extra in tips. I consider that part of my vacation. I thank the cruise ship workers for their friendliness, professionalism, and long work hours. IMO - the crew deserves extra gratitude for their positive work ethic.
Thanks for the heads up. We also prepay them.
God, I hope I don't have top stand in that line next month.
Here is a good one: We just got off Carnival Dream and got our charge sheet. Saw they charged the gratuities for the trip. Wait a minute.... we prepaid them when we booked the cruise. Went to guest services and had them removed. Watch out they may double dip you since they are hurtin and cuttin.
Outrageous...glitch or whatever.. Last place I want to be is guest services near the end.

..
This was my experience on the CxC Equinox
Finally, as some others will also tell you, the first time you meet your stateroom attendant, give them a tip. I usually tip $20 for Interior, Oceanview and Balcony, and $40 for Suites. It may turn a mediocre SRA into an Extraordinary SRA.
When I was on the CxC Equinox in June 2019, my attendant was reluctant to take my cash tip, as he informed me my tips were included in my cruise fare. He did take it anyway - I think I insisted because he was awesome.
It was the right thing to do. YOU'RE WELCOME.
Gave them $3 on our last.......YOUR fault!!!!
