Is it truly iconic? The prices seem so high compared to other ships that big. I still want to cruise on that ship, maybe in a few years time or sooner.

Thanks for the info.

Is anyone doing a bar crawl on the Icon for sailing July 27 , 2024

Lets hope you are right, but I don't believe the cruise YOU guys were on means much. The capacity of that ship is over 7000 per their specs, not even counting 2000+ crew...so the 5k you say were on there only represent about 70% of the passenger capacity...not to mention the 5k were probably invitees, travel agents and other "insiders"...Point being THEY would know how to mind their manners and figure things out...even enjoy the process..and tolerate some "growing pains" and glitches.....Free???? I could put up with ALOT if my cruise was free or at least had a massive discount involved..I don't believe your short cruise to be a representative sample of whats likely to happen in the "real world".....Yes I'm a bit cynical, because I have seen what other cruises can degenerate into, in our brave new world...and cruising on this behemoth ain't cheap...

The new elevator system is FANTASTIC!!! No more waiting around and hoping to get space. Use one of the kiosks and tell it what floor you want to go to and then it displays which elevator to go to - they are all lettered A-L. Wait for the doors to open, get in and it delivers you to that floor. Typically, it is a direct-to-floor delivery, but occasionally, there may be one other stop. Super efficient and easy to use!!

Itrvlfar - since you just got off the Icon of the Seas, how did you like the new elevator controls and elevators? Efficient? Different? Your thoughts, please.

I totally understand and felt the same way, BUT I just got off the ship this morning, and I have to say that it's very well done. While there were just under 5,000 on the 3-night preview sailing I was on, there was never a crowd anywhere. I was very impressed with the overall flow of the ship and how well thought out things were. While it's not for everyone, families, multi-generational groups, and active/adventure seekers will love this ship!!

It looks too big to me.

When is it coming to Galveston???? Get rid of Jubilee!!!

You know I luvsya......but...it ain't "highly anticipated" by me.....pretty soon they'll be using other cruise ships as lifeboats for these "things".......however...enjoy yourself!!!!!! why not????
