Experiences on the Carnival Freedom

Hi! I am trying to plan a “surprise” 40th birthday party for my husband next year and I am really interested in the Carnival Freedom ship for the timeframe I have selected. Has anyone been on it recently? Any issues or positive experiences? How was the ship over all? I see it was recently renovated. This will be a first time cruise for both of us and many family and friends. So I want to answer as many of their questions as I can with your help! Thanks in advance! Big Smile

We are going on the Freedom for the first time in April. First time with a balcony and a premium vista at that!

We have been on Freedom 3 times including a 14 day journey cruise to the Panama canal. The ship is our favorite of all the ships we have been on, just the right size.

Insert virtually any ship, or cruise line, from time to time. Great universal advice!!

While we have never been on that ship, it was one I was looking at closely to take our next cruise on. It was a tough decision but I went with the Dream.. however, my parents have been on the Freedom several times and they LOVE it, i mean LOOOOVE it. They booked a 4th cruise on her in April.

Just like everyone says, keep a positive attitude and you will have a great time. There will be those who complain, there always is no matter what type of vacation you choose. Just ignore them and you and your hubby do what makes you happy!

Thank you for your reply! This is the kind of answer I was looking for!

Thank you very much for the link! I will be reviewing this. I am excited and can’t wait to enjoy the fun with our family.

We have cruised on the Freedom twice and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Crew and servers were great. Did everything goes fabulous- certainly not but not so bad that we wanted to jump ship or demand our money back. A cruise is what you make it.There will be lineups. There will be rude people. The food at some venues may not suit your taste, etc. but there are so many options on board that you will not starve. Remember you are on vacation, do not sweat the small stuff, be a little flexible and you will have an awesome time. Enjoy.

Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of cruising. While we haven't been on the ship recently, it remains one of our favorites. Be sure to check out the reviews on this site, but remember they are subjective. You may find that some people on the same sailing had totally different experiences. Keep a positive attitude and you'll have a good time.
