Easy Pay Additional Payments?

I just booked a cruise for August 2021 (here's hoping things are back to normal by then)

I used the easypay option. In the FAQ it says I can make additional payments and then my easypay will be recalculated based on my remaining balance owed, but i cannot find the option to make an additional payment.

I only see options to pay off the cruise in full or cancel easypay.

I would like to pay an additional amount as my cruise friend paid their half of the cruise cost in full up front to me, and I would like to put that all towards the cruise now so that the remaining balance is just my half owed and my monthly payments are lower

Seems like a reasonable place to put this comment...NEVER used the "EASY PAY" anything..for anything. When it came to cruising, we'd pay the MINIMUM DOWN (which varies, with or without ins, and some other variables)...and then when the bal is due, its due. Yeh, from time to time we stash some extra prior to the next "bal due date", but THEY don't get it...Now then......amongst the "future cruises" we have booked is one for 11/21, (9 days thru the Canal)...yeh that one is OVER a year away...no EASY PAY, or anything else...the balance will be due end of 8/21, lil over 3k...no biggie...so two days ago we get this email from CCL..."your cruise needs your attention", no other text except fun stuff to book...and a box on the front page that says "MAKE A PAYMENT"..so I grab the booking sheet, and yes, I haven't lost my mind quite yet...now then,,...sez me to myself....first, the LAST place I'd be throwing money for someone else to hold for a year is ANY cruise line...second, the booking PLAINLY sez whats due, and when...

So, a less suspicious (cynical) person might say..."awww...its a puter glitch" and let it go...I say, some bean counter came up with a scheme to get peeps to pay $$ that ISN'T ACTUALLY DUE way ahead of time...mebbe under the theory the more you have in a cruise, the less likely you are to cancel...(not necessarily true mes amis..) Either way, THEY aren't getting squat until its actually time to pay it....

Already had one cancelled, and the 11/20 is in serious doubt...next up, 2/21....place yer bets....

You may have to check with the cruise line on this one. Different lines have different rules when it comes to payment options.

We make our deposit then save our money til the final due date and then pay in full the remaining balance.

Good question! I have never used easy pay but this is what the FAQ says:

https://www.carnival.com/carnival-easypay.aspx

In the past we have paid a bit at a time on our own schedule. For example, if we got a refund from "somewhere" we would just put that amount on our cruise. When I go to "manage my account" where it says "pay balance" (the red square), if you click on that it will take you to another window. That window gives me (and I'm guessing you) the option to pay a different amount of my choosing. Hope that helps.

To get the exactly right answer, I would call carnival.
