Dining Attire

Been on many cruises but never a Royal Caribbean. Going on the Liberty on Easter and wondering about the dress code for the dining room at night. Are jeans ok on regular nights? Do guys ever wear nice shorts at night? What about formal night? Is just Sunday type clothes ok?

I wear dress jeans in all MDRs- even HAL. Mine are indigo in color & I wear them even on formal evenings.

Sherri at CruiseTipsTV just put out a YouTube video about RCCL dining attire. One dedicated video and another one has a mention about it. She's partnered with Cruiseline.com so you don't have to feel like your cheating on us. In fact, she's where I first heard about Cruiseline.

Just search for CruiseTipsTV over at YouTube. She has a lot of good stuff that has been helpful for me on my cruises.

From my experience on the Liberty, yes to each of your questions. Jeans were permitted sometimes even on the elegant evening (one hostess was permitting sleeveless tops for men even that night and another would not let jeans in - we were sitting near the door and observed people walking by us to their tables. Shorts were allowed, and on the elegant evening we wear church attire as do most guests. We have seen lots of men in suits and women in long dresses, but very very few tuxes and gowns.

Hope you enjoy the Liberty as much as we did.
