Cruise ships and smuggling drugs

Just read this article about a large group on trial for drug smuggling on cruise ships. I didn't realize how big of a deal this gets to be. Article mentions at end it's believed the Costa Concordia sank with a large quantity of smuggled drugs. Guess since the pay off can be so large people are going to keep trying.

It happens all the time. Naivety is not a bad thingWink

I was naive too. Wonder what other crazy things are going on in cruise ships behind the scenes? (In addition to the horizontal stuff Yummy ).

I had no idea this was happening because of the various checks everyone goes through. Sometimes my naivety surprises even me! Wink

Maybe they could give some to the MDR staff so we could get faster service....... just a thought. But with my luck it would be a load of weed and slow the service down.

Take any village, town small city that you can think of, There will be crime.... the amount of folks on a cruise ship are the same... there will always be crime... There was an incident at one port where a crew member was shot in the back of the head twice... and left as a reminder for other crew members., not to hold out on the dealers.....

WOW! I just can't imagine this much happening without a hint to the powers that be. I guess if you want it badly enough you find a way.Surprised
