Cruise Line Phone Reps

Just curious to know how knowledgeable are the Cruise Line Phone Reps when you call concerning questions about your cruise? Do they usually have answers to your questions? Are the answers correct?

Yes it does... He has the same irreverent sense of humor as I do. Although he has a hard time comprehending the concept of 50 below 0. He questions my sanity when the temperature reached that level here in Edmonton.

My NCL rep is fantastic. Since the first family cruise and the questions that he answered he has become a friend and calls me to give be a bad time about the cold weather here in Edmonton. We correspond on a weekly basis to keep in touch on our personal and professional e-mails.

It bothers me when a cruise line says that you have to talk to your TA about the inquiry since the TA made the booking. With my money, I answer. My TA has now authorized that cruise line to talk to us directly. It is working fine for us. Otherwise we had to call the TA, she would call the cruise line, then call us back. Needless extra phone calls. Actually I prefer to hear the answer directly from the cruise line.

This is good to know that several of us have experienced good service with the various reps that we have encountered. I read reviews that say otherwise.

I was just on the phone this morning with 2 HAL reps about a complicated issue. Both of them fully understood the issues, corrected them and sent me confirmation by email. They were polite, informed and helpful plus corrected everything immediately to my complete satisfaction.

So far Cruise line phone reps have been good, but they do refer back to your TA on some issues. They are always polite and get me the information that I request.

I can speak to the access excursion staff at RCI. The woman we worked with for our April/May trips this year was fantastic! Though we ended up doing a lot of the work via email, she was a pleasure to work with. If she did not know something, she got back to us. No complaints from that perspective.

I find that for the most part they are very helpful and polite. If they cannot answer the question(s,) they connect me to someone who can. Only one time on calls about a river cruise did we get conflicting answers.
