Carnival Miracle Food

Hi Everyone,

I am booked on a Mexican Riviera 7 day cruise in Nov 09, 2019. I have been reading reviews from here and cruise critic and I am a bit concerned. Some of the negative reviews are about the age and condition of the Carnival Miracle, but most are about the food. While there are a number of negative reviews, in my opinion there are always going to be someone or those who are not happy. So, looking at Carnival Miracle Food on Youtube, I just can't see what these people are talking about. Not saying here that they are lying, just that I can't see what they are describing about the food. Also, you can't make service judgments by watching these videos. And the service was another sore point in some of these reviews. Now, there are plenty of good reviews as well, but the negative ones seem to all say about the same things. There was also more than one mention of engine vibration bad enough to see the liquid in your drink vibrating as well as effecting people's ability to sleep. So, please let me know if you have sailed on the Carnival Miracle and what you think. Thanks for your input.

Bladeswell, Glad to hear that the food lived up to your expectations! The Freedom has always been one of our favorite ships. We are scheduled to sail on her again in 2022.

Thanks for all of your replies.

That cruise is long behind me at this point, now looking forward to the next one on the Carnival Freedom. So I am happy to report that for us the food on the Miracle was excellent. The pizza was great, breakfast with Dr. Seuss was fun and entertaining. The buffet has something for everyone. We went to Nick & Nora's Steak house on the first night and it was very good, a great experience. We were also very happy with the deli, a modest selection of well made sandwiches and wraps. We did run into another guest in an elevator that said she was very disappointed in the food and that she had expected better. So really, it's just going to be a matter of each person's likes or dislikes and what they were expecting. The Miracle has sense been to dry dock in February for some much needed care and upgrades. And now guests will have Guy's Burgers available which wasn't during my cruise. There were other additions as well so it should be altogether a better experience for all.

We are also on the Miracle on Nov 9th. 🙂 We have done a few cruises. I think it is what you make it. I agree that a good wait staff make all the difference. We have only had a set dining time on one cruise, the rest were all anytime dining. I wonder if that makes a difference. Is your food likely to be less fresh when you go out with the masses?? Hadn’t thought about it before but may be a possibility? It will be fun no matter what, it’s a cruise! 😍 63 days!!!

We were on the Miracle in September of 2017. Everyone tastes are different, where one can think the food is bad another can think it’s terrific. Our experience on the Miracle was not the best. For us it was the food in the MDR, we never received a hot meal, it was like warm at best. We did not find it very good at all and we were not alone. The service was awesome.

The Pizza was awesome and the buffet and grill we pretty good.

I will say this it all depends on the executive Chef. The food on a ship can change pretty quickly, with a change in the chef. We had some friends who sailed on the Miracle in 2018 and they said the food was good.

Don’t know if this helps but it was my experience. Happy Cruising.

So very true!Yummy

Not all ships have great food. Our sailings on the Liberty and Breeze left a lot to be desired when it came to the MDR. Our sailings on other ships like the Freedom and Conquest were nothing sort of excellent.

With that being said, you will never starve. There is the buffet, room service, 24 hour pizza, and the deli counter as alternatives.

We have been disappointed in the food and service in the main dining room on several of our recent Carnival cruises. That is UNTIL this last trip. The food was hot, tasty and prompt. We had been on the same ship in November and found it lacking. So, like any other place, it seems to depend on what you expect and the luck of a good wait staff. To be honest we were ready to stop going to the MDR . Now we are looking forward to the next cruise on Carnival (October).
