I think this is a wondeful summation of this topic! Thanks for the smile you brought to my face!Big Smile

Sure you can! Don't believe that article. Rules Schmules. The cruise lines aim to please. You can fish from the ship in any way you like. Rod-n-Reel. Seine nets, Dynamite. You name it.

You can also skip stones and launch fireworks off your balcony as well.

In addition, you can bring your own boat, and the cruise line will tie it to the side of the ship so you can have your own private fishing boat when it's in port.

ALSO, they don't mention this in the fine print, but I heard that you can now bring your own scuba gear, and they will stop the ship and let you dive wherever you'd like.

They tried to offer water skiing but found they just couldn't get up enough speed, so they only offer water tubing off the back of the ship. But not during the hours when skeet shooting is scheduled, they wouldn't want anybody to get hurt.

Once. On your final cruise ever !!

Not if they’re counting on me to catch it!

So .. are we trying to give new meaning to the seafood specialty restaurants when it says ... catch of the day ??

I'd be just as lucky fishing of a cruise ship as I am fishing anywhere else! In other words, not at all!Wink

The whole article was an explanation of why its not permitted. But it sounds like fun...especially when you lip someone on a lower deck...but actually, I'm glad you commented....lots of folks don't read much of anything anyway...then, there's lots of blank looks.....duhhhhhh.......

No you can't. It's in your Cruise Contract. It's for safety reasons, not just for the fish, but for your fellow passengers and crew.
