This is my first post on here and would like some info on my cabin category which is VC. I couldn't find anything in a search on this. And any info on Eurodam cabin 4173 would be helpful.

Thanks for the post. but as with my luck, the cabin next to the one I am to have, one needs to be a member to see it, I can wait till I get on board. No pics of info on 4173 for some reason as it has a shower only and its like no posts or pics. Thanks again

Not to show my age but was a Yankee fan when Mick, Roger, and Yogi played. Now this kid needs to find his bat fast.
Have a cold one on me on your cruise.
This thread will take a left turn on this subject...I go back that far, plus...best seats in the house, upper deck by third base, walk up and buy em day of the game..whopping $1.30...my father and I went to skeighty-eight thousand games...took all of 10 minutes to walk to the stadium...and if you walked another 30 minutes across the old 155th st bridge, there sat the POLO GROUNDS...I will have several on you in a few days, once I find the right bar onboard that has the games...I got nothing against soccer or aussie rules football (which I CANNOT understand), but, enoughs enough.........I know for a fact that cruise ships can get any channel they want...but like a casino, they don't want you in your room watching TV.
Go Yanks, 5-1 good guys. Have a great cruise. I admire you for seeing old Yankee stadium.
Looking at the HAL website, cabin 4173 does indeed have a shower (not a tub). This is probably the same page you were looking at when making your booking. As for what the "VC" category means, many cruise lines designate their major categories by the first letter of a two letter code. In this case, the "V" most likely denotes a cabin with a veranda (e.g. a balcony cabin). The second letter then provides a means of pricing a major category cabin differently based upon things like location (aft, mid, forward), deck number or in some cases a variation within the major category, like an extended balcony.
I have been told this cabin has a bigger balcony and the shower is every important. I did have another cabin booked with my agent and then found it was a tub-shower combo and had to pay another $240 to get this one. This is a bucket trip so to speak as its on my birthday on 5-14. And with hearing most who cruise are older or seniors, that's me.

Thanks...reason I'm here at the moment is because its safer...she's "pre-organizing" her packing.....and yeh, they were rained out last night. even though we escaped the big cities many years ago, my baseball heart is still with the Yankees. Grew up 3 blocks from the stadium...she, on the other hand, is a dyed in the wool philadelphia girl...can't imagine what would happen around here if the impossible happens and they play each other..serious stuff...playoff baseball....might have to take separate cruises!!!!! bwahahahahaha!!

BTW, something isn't right somewhere. the deck plans for that ship do indeed show VC...lots of things change on cruiseships, but never heard of one recategorizing cabins. Looks nice anyway...I'd stay in it...
Just saw your cruise in 3 days? Have a good time and go Yankees.lol
Great! found a link to HAL with the sentence "the first ships to undergo the suite transformation were MS EURODAM and MS OOSTERDAM..." the link took me to the HAL website and I couldn't find that particular item referenced. Normally, I would have assumed they simply updated some furniture during the refurbishment. Is it possible they also renumbered some cabins as well? That post was from someone who cruised on the ship allegedly in that cabin was dated 2019. Either way, would love to see what your T/A says. Please post again and let us know. I don't think its a problem anyway.
