Anyone Familiar with Cruise Insurance when the Cruiseline Cancels?

SO, like everyone else, Our cruise for April 25th has been canceled, with 125% FCC.

With the cruise line canceling, and issuing FCC, does that make an Insurance claim not a possibility? Really wondering, because with Excursions, Airfare, Drink package, and the Cruise itself, I prolly have 4 stacks tied up in Credits, and it would be nice to recoup some of those funds...

Anyone have any experience?

Not an insurance expert by any means, but virtually all of them include a force majeure clause. translates to an "act of God" clause, for which NO ONE can be held accountable. Learned about it during years of investing, when contracts were broken because of it, and no one could sue anyone, or collect under their "insurance" policies, .although companies and their battalions of lawyers tried. We got "all our $$" back when we cancelled a few weeks ago, MINUS the ins premium we paid for when we booked. got a raft of double talk as to why, and I don't plan to fight that battle. I think its a waste of time. what I want to know, is what happens when folks start to talk about the unthinkable...that this WON"T go away...hope they develop a vaccine...show yer shot card, like the mllitary, to go overseas.

Not sure .. I somehow suspect the insurance companies have verbiage to prevent double dipping but you can always ask. I don't really think anyone has any kind of experience like this so this would be a new one to all.
