Yep...I suspected that too...can't really blame the passengers too too much....I honestly don't expect all that much out of the crew, including the ones with the stripes and braid up on the bridge. Fortunately, the vast majority of these incidents aren't "serious" (define that any way you like), but when they are...

Would think passengers would get a wisp of smoke smell while walking around.

Yeh well...I went and reread that article...don't know how factually accurate it was, but clearly crew were running around in full regalia, alarms going off, some firedoors closed, wouldn't surprise me if there was some "odors" around....and you can't tell me any of us would just sit around ignoring it....making announcements, if well and properly done, goes a long way to making folks feel better. IF you can believe them......

Yep that would be alarming ... but I guess trying to avoid panic they keep it quiet until they can no longer safely do so ... need to know ...

WOW! Thanks for sharing this information. I would have a bit alarmed seeing the fire crew running.

OldGreyWolf, have a wonderful time!

All is good on that front. 9 - 10 hours drive time to port. We leave Monday 05:00 and should be in our hotel in Parsippany late afternoon. Then Tuesday morning leave the hotel about 08:30 and drive to port. Besides ... got to do my covid test tomorrow at the local pharmacy.

Sounds about right for fire onboard. Wonder how many of those panicked passengers grumbled about the so-called muster drill....but anyway....OGW, GET MOVING! its Labor Day weekend, the roads are, well, what they are...and you have a ways to go...not crowded where you're going, not at all...heheheheh........
