11.2.19 Sunshine departure issues and opportunities

Hi, saw that the Sunshine cruise leaving today will be delayed due to a medical evacuation last night. The ship is not expected to be in Charleston until this afternoon with embarkation not starting until 7 pm. Nassau is pushed back until 10 am, but the shop will stay until 7 pm in Nassau.

First off praying that the evacuee is OK and the ship gets back safely. Wonder how many issues that will make with ppl flying out with small windows is flying out this afternoon when the shop is not back?

Just pondering on a Saturday night...

true that Yankee! Luckily the ones I was talking about are the ppl on a facebook cruise board for that particular cruise. Hate dealing with other ppl in a vacation committee like you are talking about lol

When you travel by committee their concerns become your concerns.. Can't be helped..

We have only driven to the ports, I feel that we would chill out and explore the city until allowed to board. Some ppl on our cruise group were worried about it affecting our cruise as well. C'mon peeps, it will be6 days later, the time will be made up.

Medical and safety issues come first.

Things do happen and need to ensure that wiggle room is there. This is one of the benefits I enjoy with driving to port. The schedule becomes a bit more flexible .. so long as the weather cooperates ;)

Agreed...hope it turns out ok all around...noticed folks can fly in a day EARLY to avoid problems, but schedule a flight out the day a ship is supposed to arrive back at its home port...if its late, wellll….
