I loved this cruise to Alaska. I loved the sea days. There was so much to do, shows, movies, games, lectures. Lots of hot tubs, swimming pools. Beautiful ship. We were aft so elevator only goes to 6 which goes just to Bottichelli dining room. So we would go to 7, cross ship and get where we needed to be. Most of the time it was on deck 7, Explorers Lounge, Princess Theater. We were just below the Horizon Buffet but never heard a thing. We were too close. We would go by to get ice tea and end up with sweets, ha. We did feel rocking and rolling first few days but didn't bother us. We loved the cruise director Dave Clark and his group. Very funny, witty, entertaining. I'm ready to go again!

Cruise tips

Victoria, British Columbia

Very pretty town. Buchart Gardens with 299 other cruisers. Very nice gardens. I wish I had more time to get out and explore town. We left port around 3pm. Enjoyed it.

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

Just amazing, beautiful. Cold, rainy. Sat at the Aft/Terrace pool. Ran out took pictures, back under cover, dried cameras with pool towel. Then watched from our balcony on port side.

Skagway, Alaska

I don't know... I think I heard so much about this port that I had too high of an expectation. We did the train up,bus down. The bus driver stopped 3 times, once at Tormented Toilets, I thought to see,but people actually used them, yuck. She passed up a beautiful waterfall because she said we saw it from the train. Stopped at the Alaska sign and a distant waterfall. the town again was mostly shopping. Red Onion too packed to enter. Saw the salmon.

Juneau, Alaska

I loved Juneau! I thought it was beautiful. We took a $45 bus tour to Mendenhall, did Mount Robert's Tram and ziplined! Ziplines with Alaska Zip line Adventures. Lots of fun, cold and rainy. Just beautiful here!

Ketchikan, Alaska

Nice port but we didn't really plan much to do other than the Lumberjack Show. My friend jewelry shopped. We took the free Wal mart shuttle to Wal-Mart because we ran out of water. I'm not a shopper so I went back to the ship early.

San Francisco, California

Back in port way too soon! I love San Francisco. We took a cab back to the Ferry Building. I think it was $12. Better than hiking like we did to get to the port. No lines at ferry. Other cruisers on ferry also, plenty of room for luggage, and we had a lot!
