Carnival Venezia Arrives for Inaugural Season in Port Canaveral

Carnival Cruise Line’s ship Carnival Venezia was delivered to its new seasonal homeport at Port Canaveral this week. Tropical Santa was on hand to help deliver the ship to its new home in Central Florida. 

Carnival Venezia will offer a series of cruises to The Bahamas, as well as destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico, over the next few months. The ship’s arrival makes Carnival Cruise Line the first and only operator to have five ships sailing from Port Canaveral. 

This is the second homeport for Carnival Venezia since it debuted in 2023. The ship arrived in Port Canaveral following a 12-day Carnival Journeys cruise that began in New York. It began cruises from Port Canaveral on December 18, 2024, with a special four-day Bahamas getaway. The ship will offer 15 weeks of Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings, as well as two 14-day Carnival Journeys voyages.

Carnival Venezia is themed after its namesake city, Venice, Italy. Onboard, guests can enjoy signature Carnival venues, including Guy’s Burger Joint, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, and Bonsai Sushi & Teppanyaki. Carnival Venezia also features ‘Fun Italian Style’ dining and beverage options such as specialty restaurant Il Viaggio and wine bar Frizzante.

Carnival Venezia joins Mardi Gras, Carnival Vista, Carnival Glory, and Carnival Freedom at Port Canaveral. All Carnival ships at Port Canaveral offer a range of diverse itineraries, from three- and four-day Bahamas getaways, five- and eight-day Caribbean adventures, and several longer Carnival Journeys cruises.

Come spring, Carnival Venezia will reposition back to New York City with an 11-day repositioning cruise that departs on May 11, 2025. The ship will continue to sail seasonally from New York City and Port Canaveral through spring 2027, with all bookings now open.
