First Look at Hideaway Beach on Perfect Day at CocoCay
Calling all Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises guests - Are you visiting Perfect Day at CocoCay on your upcoming Caribbean cruise? Adult travelers must consider spending the day at Hideaway Beach, the new ages 18+ escape area on the island. This pristine beachfront paradise made its debut in January 2024, and we got a first-hand look at the new space.
On Hideaway Beach, adults will experience the beauty of Perfect Day at CocoCay, but in a setting that is just for them. Enjoy time lounging beachside, taking a dip in the private pool, checking out the new bars and restaurants, or opting for an even more private experience with on-site cabanas. If you want to party or you want to sit on the beach and relax with a frozen cocktail in hand, Hideaway Beach is the space for you.
Admission to Hideaway Beach is an extra fee, at $39 per guest for the day. It’s a less expensive option than Perfect Day at CocoCay’s Coco Beach Club, the upscale ‘VIP’ area at the other end of the island, which offers admission for $259/day per adult.
Hideaway Beach's capacity is between 1,800-2,000 guests daily, which is more than Coco Beaches’ capacity of 450. However, it still feels like a smaller area among the other beach spaces around the larger island, and no children under 18 are allowed.
The area is a short walk or trolley ride from the ship piers at Perfect Day at CocoCay. If you opt to walk, you can enjoy views of the pristine Bahamas waters surrounding the island and get awesome pictures of your ship docked at the island.

Once you enter Hideaway Beach, make your way to On the Rocks. This al fresco venue features a bar serving up the best in beachside drinks, TVs to watch games on, shuffleboard and pool tables, and great live musicians.
After you grab a cocktail, head out to Hideaway Beach for some fun in the sun. This area is an acre of white sandy beaches surrounded by turquoise waters. Grab a hammock or a lounger (no reservations, first-come, first-serve) and enjoy the views.
Note, if you want to be in the middle of the party, sit in the loungers on the beach closest to the pool area. They are closer to the DJ and much more in the party area. The loungers on the side areas of the beach tend to be a bit quieter.

The heart of the action is at the Hideaway Pool. Here, a DJ spins popular tunes, creating a lively and fun environment that is a great spot to chill out or meet fellow travelers.
A huge infinity-edge pool facing the ocean offers in-water seating and loungers, perfect for cooling off on a hot day. The piece de resistance is the Hideaway Bar, which offers a swim-up watering hole where you can grab a drink without leaving the pool.

Hungry? Check out Slice of Paradise, serving pizza and grilled meat options. You can also enjoy the Hideaway Hut. With abundant seating, this restaurant serves chicken sandwiches, coconut shrimp, ceviche, burgers, and salads. All food is included with the cost of your admission to Hideaway Beach.
Drinks are never too far away, with two full-service bars on both sides of the beach. If you have an on-ship beverage package, it will also work at Hideaway Beach (and all bars on Perfect Day), or drinks are priced à la carte.

If you are traveling with a group or want to ensure you have your own space at Hideaway Beach, consider a private cabana.
Next to the pool and the party are Hideaway Cabanas. These 10 cabanas come with an attendant, a mini-fridge, storage lockers, a ceiling fan, a wet bar, charging outlets, and your own space to sit and relax. These cabanas cost $1,699 per day, with a capacity of 8 guests.
Those looking for a chill spot away from the action are The Hideout cabanas. These 10 cabanas offer an elevated experience way from the party. Guests at these cabanas can enjoy their own heated infinity plunge pool, cabana attendant service, outdoor shower, lockers, wet bar, floating mats, and other special in-cabana amenities. You can enjoy on-demand bottle service and pizza deliveries at your disposal for the day. Hideout Cananas cost $2,699 daily, and has a max capacity of eight guests.

Final Thoughts
If your cruise stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay and you are traveling with adults looking to escape the crowds, the extra-cost option of Hideaway Beach is well worth it, especially if you are looking to have an experience that's more about lounging on the beach or pool, and less about big waterslides and jet ski rides.
The area’s capacity cap of 2,000 guests per day makes it an attractive option. Tip: you can easily grab a lounge chair and have a quicker wait time at the bar getting a drink. Enjoy your time on the island!
