Going on a cruise is certainly a reason to treat yourself when it comes to dining. However, there’s no reason why you can’t treat yourself to delicious AND healthy meals on your next vacation!

With many eateries debuting on new ships, cruise lines are incorporating innovative health-conscious restaurant concepts. In addition, increasingly more lines are including plant-based and farm-to-table sourced items on restaurant menus. So whether you have dietary restrictions, particular food preferences, or just want to include at least one lighter meal during your trip, it's now easier than ever to find a restaurant offering healthy menu options when you cruise.

The following six restaurants made our picks for the healthiest cruise ship eateries.

1. Razzle Dazzle - Virgin Voyages

Razzle Dazzle is a creative concept restaurant from Virgin Voyages that serves light and healthy dishes and a few ‘splurge’ items. The eatery is open for both lunch and dinner service. Many of our members who have sailed with Virgin Voyages since the line’s debut have returned raving about the creative menu items and fun setting at Razzle Dazzle.

The menu has two distinct sections, ‘naughty’ and ‘nice.’ On the ‘nice’ side are the light and healthy vegetable-based dishes. Highlights include items like plant-based burgers and fish, heirloom squash ravioli, mushroom tartare, a melon salad, and a whole roasted cauliflower topped with curry sauce.

The menu changes daily, but some options on the Clean Cuisine menu include a zucchini carpaccio, plant-based Beyond Burgers, orichetti pasta with vegetarian parmesan cheese, and a range of steamed fish dishes.
