According to Princess Cruises, there is no age restriction for sailing with the line, however they require ALL guests to be vaccinated.
Cruising on Ruby Princess? Here’s our guide to everything you need to know before you board.
About the Ship: Ruby Princess is one of Princess Cruises’ larger-sized vessels. At full capacity (excluding COVID-19 restrictions), the ship can accommodate up to 3,080 passengers and includes 1,539 total cabins. The ship last went through a major revamp in 2018 when it received several great new amenities such as the addition of a Salty Dog Gastropub and Salty Dog Grill, new entertainment options, as well as upgrades to the kids and teens Camp Discovery experience.
Activities + Entertainment: Ruby Princess is home to a number of entertainment venues and activities guaranteed to please passengers of all ages. A selection of onboard highlights includes a casino, the Lotus Spa and Fitness Center, four pools and two splash areas, Piazza activity hub, miniature golf, and multiple sports courts.
Come nighttime, guests can enjoy movies under the stars at the poolside theater, see featured guest entertainers and Broadway-style shows at the Princess Theatre, or enjoy cocktails at one of the numerous lounges and bars.
Dining: Ruby Princess offers a number of dining options throughout the ship, from endless buffet choices to gourmet pizza, frosty treats, high-end cuisine, and everything in between. With Princess’ ‘Dine My Way’ guests can reserve when and where they would like to eat as opposed to a set time and location.
Included dining options on the ship are the International Cafe, Chocolate Journey, Horizon Court, The Salty Dog Grill, Slice Pizzeria, Coffee & Cones, and Room Service. For guests looking to splurge, specialty eateries include Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria, Crown Grill, Chef’s Table, Vines Wine Bar, Salty Dog Gastropub, and Ultimate Balcony Dining.
Pricing: Sailings are filling up quickly for the return of Ruby Princess, and prices are changing daily. Right now you can expect to pay about $80 per person per night for entry-level accommodations. Consider booking a balcony cabin, so you can enjoy the spectacular views of the ocean from your own private oasis. Balcony cabins currently start around $100 per person, per night and go up from there based on location and category.
We recommend booking NOW if you find a price you like - chances are it won’t last long!
What to Expect at Embarkation & Onboard Protocols
Princess Cruises’ pre-embarkation protocol includes a number of mandatory health screening checks. 100 percent of all passengers will be tested for COVID-19 as well as undergo touchless temperature checks, and a health questionnaire. All Princess Cruises’ embarkation protocols will be set in accordance with the latest CDC guidelines.
Secondary screenings and health checks will be performed throughout the cruise when necessary. Contact tracing is also planned for every cruise.
Onboard, Princess will have protocols in place for social distancing in entertainment venues and restaurants. When physical distancing can’t be maintained, or when mandated by public health authorities, Princess will require masks onboard and on private islands, and during shore excursions. Masks must be worn in terminals, during embarkation and disembarkation.

This cruise was excellent. My oldest daughter is vegan and although the ship didn't offer vegan options, the chef was very accommodating. The chef made her special dinners and special desserts. - otwellvaca2018
