When is Ruby Princess slated to resume operations?

Ruby Princess is scheduled to go back into service on October 31, 2021. The ship will offer a series of 5- and 7-night California Coast and Mexican Riviera cruises from San Francisco. Depending on itinerary, port stops include Catalina Island, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Ensenada (Mexico).

All guests sailing with Princess Cruises must have received a final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the beginning of the cruise. To board the ship, each guest must present proof of vaccination and proof of a negative viral COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken within two days of embarkation. According to Princess Cruises, there is no age restriction for sailing with the line, however they require ALL guests to be vaccinated.

What to Expect at Embarkation & Onboard Protocols

Princess Cruises’ pre-embarkation protocol includes a number of mandatory health screening checks. 100 percent of all passengers will be tested for  COVID-19 as well as undergo touchless temperature checks, and a health questionnaire. All Princess Cruises’ embarkation protocols will be set in accordance with the latest CDC guidelines.

Secondary screenings and health checks will be performed throughout the cruise when necessary. Contact tracing is also planned for every cruise.

Onboard, Princess will have protocols in place for social distancing in entertainment venues and restaurants. When physical distancing can’t be maintained, or when mandated by public health authorities, Princess will require masks onboard and on private islands, and during shore excursions. Masks must be worn in terminals, during embarkation and disembarkation.

5 Stars does not make justice to the kind services, from the staff and servers in all the departments of the ship. Everyone was so respectful, caring and friendly it was unbelievable. The views, excursions, and ports were all nice. It was a perfect vacation to disconnect and really enjoy. - alexcybul

This cruise was excellent. My oldest daughter is vegan and although the ship didn't offer vegan options, the chef was very accommodating. The chef made her special dinners and special desserts. - otwellvaca2018
