From Nova Scotia, Canada. First cruise was in 2007 on Carnival Liberty and we loved it so much. It took 10yrs for our 2nd but not only was it as great as I remembered but it was even better!

Wonder of the Seas

May 2023 - 7 Night Western Caribbean & Perfect Day (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Wonder of the Seas

Carnival Magic

December 2019 - 8 Night Southern Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Magic

Great cruise!

Overall our cruise was great, any day spent not at work is great and being on vacation with family and friends makes it even better. We def plan to sail the Magic again in the future to do the things we didn't get to do on this cruise. The Southern Caribbean was beautiful and we can't wait to go back!

December 2017 - 8 Night Eastern Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Sunshine

Awesome trip, wouldn't change a thing!!

We loved our cruise very much. From start to end it was amazing & we really can't say enough good things about it. The ship was amazing & our ports were beautiful. We had gorgeous weather every day & were sad when it was over. Would absolutely sail on the Sunshine again & highly recommend it.

Carnival Liberty

December 2007 - 6 Night Western Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Liberty

1st cruise, loved it!!

This was our very first cruise, given to us as a gift from my husbands company. We had a wonderful time. We spent very little time in our room (interior) as we explored the ship as much as possible. We made sure to go to our dinner seating every night, this was something we very much enjoyed. Our servers were so friendly & great to chat with. We enjoyed the buffet for breakfast each morning, a huge variety to choose from. I am a picky eater but had no problem finding things I liked. Our first port was Nassau Bahamas, it was just a short stop so we explored the market for souvenirs mostly. Next was Grand Cayman where we went parasailing, that was an awesome experience! Lastly was Ocho Rios, we didn't get to enjoy this port for long, my husband had gotten sun stroke in Grand Cayman the day before & wasn't well enough to go ashore for long but we managed to explore for an hour before going back on board. We made sure to take in numerous events in the theatre (comedian, bingo, games, Christmas show) & thoroughly enjoyed them all.

Cruise tips

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Half Moon Cay is as beautiful as expected! We didn't do an excursion here, we just hung out on the beach, enjoyed the music, had a couple drinks, some lunch and did some swimming.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

We were in Fort Lauderdale for a short period of time before the cruise. We arrived to our hotel 9pm the night before we sailed. Once we returned we did stay an extra day and did a Water Taxi Tour to see the Christmas Lights. This was a wonderful tour.

Oranjestad, Aruba

While we enjoyed our excursion bus driver/music and the bus, the tour itself & what we saw of Aruba was disappointing. I was expecting to see beautiful sites, gorgeous teal water and amazing beaches. What we saw was a church for 10mins, a lighthouse for 10mins and then a 2 hr stop at Moomba Beach that had murky water and too many boats around to really swim too far. Once our tour was over we did venture back out to the shops area but it was the same items in pretty much every store for a different price. Aruba definately wasn't what we expected. I have seen photos of Eagle Beach which were amazing, we saw nothing close to that.

Grand Turk Island

This was our 2nd time in Grand Turk and just swam and relaxed. I highly recommend talking the less than 10min walk up the beach away from the main ship crowd and hang out near Jack's Shack. We had another ship in port with us so the area right near the beach was super busy but near JS it wasn't busy at all.

Willemstad, Curacao

Curacao is beautiful and we wish we could have been there longer. The day before we sailed our port stop got changed with Aruba so instead of being in Curacao for 14hrs we were there for 7hrs. This was still sufficient time to look around the cruise port area briefly and enjoy an excursion but we would have loved to had more time to explore on our own as well. We will def go back! We did an Island Tour that included a stop at the Blue Curacao Distillery and a 2hr stop at Mambo Beach.

Grand Turk Island

LOVED Grand Turk so much!! The aqua colored water was as warm as bath water & we saw fish! We didn't do an excursion, we swam to the left of the pier for a few hours then we had lunch in Margaritaville before making our way to Jack's Shack which is about a 15min walk up the beach.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

We thoroughly enjoyed Basseterre! We did a Carnival tour, Brimstone Hill Highlights & our tourguide Bertgrum was awesome. He was extremely funny & very knowledgable. He went out of his way to add on a little extra to the tour just so we had the full island experience. I highly recommend a tour while here.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

San Juan is stunning!! We explored on our own & made our way to the San Juan National Historic Site to explore one of the 2 Forts on site. The view from the top of the fort is amazing! We then made our way to a beach that was only a mile up the street from the Fort, directly across from the Capital Building. The beach was Playa Pena, a small private beach right off the side of the road. No lifeguard supervision here, it is use at own risk but it is worth it. It is gorgeous.

Port Canaveral, Florida

We didn't get to explore this port much or do an excursion, it was just our embarkation/debarkation port but it was beautiful & everything went smoothly.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Loved this port, the pools area is gorgeous & we had so much fun relaxing in the pools. My daughter & husband also enjoyed the zipline which is a flat rate of $20/day so you really need to go a few times to make it worth it but they said it was a lot of fun.

When you go to the Lido Marketplace to eat, immediately go find a table in the Havana Bar. We never had trouble getting a table there when the rest of the Lido tables were full. Even during the evenings when the Havana Bar were taking dinner reservations they will let you eat in there at the bar or any table without a table cloth.
