Review summary
This was a fantastic cruise, The ship is in good shape and really didn't feel old. I really liked this itinerary it visited ports not frequented by cruise ships (like Kodiak a real gem on a nice day). Be forewarned Holland America is not a party ship and does draw an older crowd. One area they could improve on is onboard activities.Embarkation

Nice port went on the Ketchikan cultural tour to Totem Heritage Center and Potlatch Park, guide had some good information on how the Tlingit lived.

Rained for about an hour in the morning, went to dog mushers camp and saw the 8 day old puppies, and downtown actually found an independent toy store that my daughter loved
Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska
Went whale watching and saw lots of humpbacks, good excursion nice relaxing spot, nice change from Ketchikan and Juneau
Whent to Portage and this glacier has really retreated since I was here in 85. Glacier while small you get a good close up view of it.
This is a cool funky town where Alaskans vacation. Spit was great and we did the Homer highlights, nice museums.
I was a little concerned about this port, but I really lucked out with awesome weather and a great walk around Fort Abercrombie, saw Orca there and the military museum is really cool, lots of stuff from signal corp.
My favorite stop, great weather and lots of wildlife, went on the Otters Raptors and Bears Oh My tour and it was absolutely amazing saw so much wildlife.
This was like my 5th time to this city. still a great downtown area that is safe and clean.
