Fabulous cruise. Loved each of the cities we stopped at.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room food was excellent - compliments to the chef! Windjammer breakfast buffet was excellent with a great selection of foods. Specialty restaurant (150 Central Park) was a bit disappointing - the food was on par with the main dining room food and we were told it was the best restaurant on the cruise. Drinks in restaurant were *VERY* expensive. (This and above is why I'm giving 4 stars) The wait staff in all 3 locations were excellent - went out of their way yo ensure we had everything we needed and more!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Our sons availed a bunch of the activities - table tennis, basketball, volley ball, fitness center. Lots of options to choose from. (Zip line was pretty lame! Our boys did not even attempt because it was so slow and so short.)

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Entertainment was okay (previous cruise entertainment was much better). Boys liked the comedy show. We all enjoyed the Aquanation show. The 'Come fly with me' performance, the Magic show were all just okay. Would have preferred more times to choose from -- for example was not able to attend Cats.

Children's Programs

No children with us. (Our sons are 'adults')

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was excellent. Waiters in the main dining room (Sanford and Rouli) were fantastic. They gave us great recommendations, checked on us constantly to ensure we had everything we needed (and much, much more). Both were very pleasant, friendly and overall really outstanding! Room steward was great - always found a way to clean our rooms in a timely manner when we were out...

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was very clean and very well maintained. Ship's layout was okay. This was out first experience in a ship of this size -- and some of the design seemed a bit tacky, plastic, cheap glitz (for example, the fountain and the rising tide bar).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was larger than expected. Clean and comfortable. Would have liked to have "body lotion" provided (like the shampoo/conditioner). Shower was great.

Ship tip

Select and order photos asap, otherwise you cannot get them. We could not get our photos because we did not order them on time!

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
We arrived at Barcelona a day earlier and left a day later so that we could explore on our own. Have been to Barcelona before - always love it!

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

3 out of 5
We did an excursion to the caves and pearl factory. It was just okay -- the caves were interesting but underwhelming (Others we spoke to did bike tours which they loved).

Marseille (Provence), France

5 out of 5
Loved this port - took the shuttle to the city and explored on our own. Beautiful city. Lots to see.

La Spezia, Italy

5 out of 5
Not enough time see both Pisa and Florence as we had planned, so we only saw Pisa -- quite spectacular.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
Loved Rome. Again not enough time to see as much as we would have liked to -- lines were too long, but we were able to see various sights via a private taxi tour.

Naples, Italy

5 out of 5
Went on a tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. Spectacular! Though would have like to have a bit more time.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick and easy.
