Savor Restaurant on Norwegian Getaway

This was the WORST experience ever. Made a reservation for two people and when we arrived it was another two hours to eat alone or we could be sat now at a group table. Opted for the group table, we sat down at 630pm. By 730pm we had just gotten our appetizers. No refill on drinks or coming by to check on us. I ordered the bruchetta and thinking I was gonna get several ones, nope I just got one and the Baggett it came on wasn't even toasted. Glad I ordered the salad but wait the waiter asks me "do I want the salad now?" You mean with my appetizers. Main course came at 830pm and we didn't leave till 9pm just in time for our 9pm show. We didn't do Taste due to this.

Savor/Taste same thing so I’m reviewing both here. Never went for breakfast. Had lunch there several times. Great choice for a place to eat on embarkation day instead of the buffet as it was very quiet and not packed. Lunch menu rotated daily so always something different to try. Only open from 12:00-1:30 for lunch so service was usually very quick as they’re probably trying to fit two 45 minute seatings into each table during that time. Food always came out hot and never a wait for a seat. If one restaurant is busy just go across the hall to the other one. Only had dinner here once but it’s the same menu as the Tropicana Room as well. Taste/Savour are a much quieter and more intimate main dining experience than Tropicana is if that’s your preference. Service time is similar across all three so expect an hour and a half or so to finish the whole meal.

The manager here was so good about finding me and bringing the menu for the next day so that I could preorder with my food allergies in mine. Not everything was great, but most things were good to very good. Nothing was bad. It seemed like they were getting into the flow as we got closer to the end of the cruise. They were still building up too full capacity and hadn’t had a ship as full as ours until then. They all did they’re very best and I appreciate them.

Presentation was good, but food quality was not what I have come to expect from Norwegian.

Typical cruise food, exceptional service. I noticed that both main dining rooms always offered the best table available. I felt very welcome and taken care of.
