Review summary

everything went smoothly. the beach was gorgeous. We didn't do any of the games because you had to pay for your bingo card or there were other fees. That needs to change. the lines to get the free bracelet, to buy bingo cards, etc, were so long it wasn't worth standing in line. I like the idea of have an adults only area of the ship, but there were so many people we couldn't get a chair in the sun; there's no food on that side of the ship and the only bar is at the top. meaning climbing more stairs because the elevator rarely works on the spa side. We love cruises but now it seems it's alot more money for alot less. I was supposed to get a $50 onboard credit when I scheduled the cruise thru AA. I have yet to get that..

It's clear they've been doing this a long time. Everything moved quickly and everyone was friendlyt.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
the food at the buffet was just ok. Guys was only open 2 hrs and the line was always too long so we didn't have that; we found the JJ dining area on the last day. There was no clear signage letting us know there was a restaurant. My husband got a sandwich as the deli.We took it back to the room and after taking a few bites noticed the meat was rotten. My husband was ill the next 24 hrs. Disappointing that once you earn free drinks in the casino, you can only get them from the waiter, not the bar. There need to be vending machines or drink stations throughout the ship.

Onboard Activities

we gambled; couldn't get in the pool due to too many people. available chairs were scarce.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
the staff was fantastic. the waiters in the casino were top knotch, remembering our names and drink preference

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
On the last day we found 2 restaurants we were not previously aware of. Getting from the Spa area to the restaurants required pushing our way thru people at the pool. The ship was clean. There are only 2 elevators to the 12th floor. Most of the time 1 or both of the elevators were out of order. There need to be options for food or drink on the Cloud 9 Spa side of the ship. I didn't know how to get more ice in our bucket in our room.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
the bed was wonderful. you can tell the ship is old due to stains on the carpet and chipping paint on the balcony. We didn't get the 'unique welcome experience' that was advertised. I figured out I had to go to the spa to get the scrub kit. We also didn't receive the 'bathroom kit' mentioned. refrigerator is very small and would be nice to have a microwave. Each stateroom should be assigned 1 deck chair for each person to guarantee a seat.

Ship tip

always get a room with a balcony

Ports of call

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

The beach was great, but not enough clam shells or chairs for everyone. We did the stingray excursion. We were disappointed that they are gated in and didn't like the instructor forcefully holding the stingray so we could pet, kiss & feed the stingrays for that photo op.

Disembarkation

Again, this was run like a well oiled machine. wonderful exiting. great, friendly people
