Ephesus is a MUST SEE destination . We had a private tour , lunch & visited the house of the Virgin Mary .. incredible . The only downside was lunch at by a carpet factory where they will try to sell you a carpet .. no good as none of them fly

THIS WAS THE BEST CRUISE TOUR AND THE BEST PORT EXPERIENCE EVER! I have booked PRIVATE EPHESUS TOUR (Skip-the-Line & Guaranteed on-time Return to Boat) from local travel agency BEST TURKEY TOUR (Tripavisor name of company). I contacted ISMAIL directly on the recommendation of my friends who had traveled with this company before and then i did. I think Ismail and Fatima arranged a tour for all our friends and family 🙂 He really helped me to complete the reservation very quickly and effectively. We booked customized tour with local guide(FATIMA) and local lunch! We paid 50USD per person for 8 people for the tour. Ps:Especially the ancient city of Ephesus, about 2miles walking track and Turkey's largest open-air museum will be a bit hot and suffocating for this reason. (I have been in August)Definitely carry your hat or umbrella with you. We had to buy outside before we started the tour. This is the link of company website; https://www.bestturkeytour.com/tour-category/ephesus-tour/

This was a surprise for me. Did not really have much expectations for turkey but was completely in love . So much history and it’s beautiful. If your an animal lover you will smile when you see how much the people care for the stray dogs and cats in the area.

Do a shore excursion organised by your cruise ship!! Ephesus itself was lovely and very large and historic but the shops before you enter and after you leave just keep walking felt very uncomfortable the people were not friendly. If your excursion offers you lunch in cittantica Ephesus park please note it will be a small buffet selection with very low poor quality food and in a huge huge ballroom that would seat hundreds but we were the only Royal Caribbean tour group in there and it didn't feel good. Cittantica Ephesus park also has a few shops but other than that it is nothing special. The carpet demonstration was a full on sales pitch I only appreciated the free drink as it was so hot outside. Was not impressed with Kusadasi at all felt very out of place tourists seemed to be only from cruise ships.
