November 2015 - 5 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Freedom
Grand daughter's first cruise
This was my 8 year old grand daughter's first time on a cruise ship. Â She was impressed with the size and beauty of the Freedom. Â We took her on a shore excursion in Progresso and Cozumel(they have excursions child appropriate). Â She loved the cabin(she had a bunk bed and loved it). Â We had a server named Marjia from Croatia and she spoiled my grand daughter on the service she gave her on the evening meal. Â My grand daughter still talks about Marija. Â We did not go to camp ocean as my grand daughter loved the pool and loved playing in the cabin. Â She loved the shows in the main showroom. Â It was an excellent cruise for her.
March 2015 - 12 Night Journey Of Discovery (Galveston Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Triumph
Love Panama, Colombia
We went thru the Panama Canal on the Miracle and this cruise(on Triumph) we got to stand on the canal and actually watch a ship go thru.  Toured a banana plantation and did a rain forest tour and actually got to pet a sloth.  We did this cruise again as we live in Galveston and did not have to fly to New York to get to the canal.  2 stops in Colombia was a great bonus  Only negative thing was is this was dubbed a retirement home cruise as there were mostly senior citizens on board.  Things on the ship were not happening party wise.  They had a new cruise director on Triumph (we been on Triumph 3 times before and loved the cruise director at that time)and he was a dud.  Phony as a 3 dollar bill...full of IT.  Crew was outstanding otherwise.  The captain of the Triumph is a really cool dude!!!

Was alone, did all shows and took an excursion on each port.  Deck 2 is a perfect deck as  you can go from one end of ship to other un crowded.  Punchline comedy club had EXCELLENT comedians on board
Carnival Miracle

Miracle repositioning cruise thru Panama Canal
Best cruise ever...evryone says Alaska cruise is the best, this one is the best...ship and crew were outstanding!!! They hired a helicopter to take this aerial shot and we were on board!!!! Ports were outstanding...a dream cruise
Carnival Triumph
Sail date: September 01, 2012
We just like to cruise and Triumph is out of Galveston which makes it easy as we live there. It is a Conquest class ship and it is a good size, not too small and not too big
Carnival Triumph
Sail date: February 01, 2014
second trip on Triumph not as good as expected
We decided to go on Triumph a second time to see how it was after "poop cruise" overhaul. All they did was clean it up and put in more money making revenue(bars). Our room (interior shows worn areas(ship was built in 1999), some light "egg crate" decors were held in place by DUCT TAPE!!!!
The ends of the reading lites constantly fell off, and the promenade the couches show extreme wear, the plastic was cracking bad. Our commode had to press the button to flush twice and the seat was loose. They replaced the whole crew except the cruise director. The cruise director's staff were rude(been on 5 different ships I know) The menu boards were worn, they could copy new ones, wait staff were not overly friendly. I realize all these people were new put on a ship with bad history, but this was not one of our best cruises. Carnival needs to go to a different port besides Progresso. That port is boring
On the plus side they got a new captain and he is a good one. He mingles with the guests and doesn't drag tail getting back to port. He got the ship back to Galveston an hour early and broke the de embarkation record of how fast the ship unloads
Carnival Spirit

What a way to spend a birthday
Alaska is beautiful and cold. We rented a Harley and swy Alaska that way. We took a whale watching excursion and the glacier tour. My second cruise and my birthday and it was worth it
Carnival Conquest
Sail date: August 15, 2010
Awesome. First time on a cruise ship..been in Navy and I swore I would never sail again....WRONG!!! From floating on a destroyer to a palace it is no wonder a person can get hooked on cruising
Carnival Freedom

We always go to the same 2 ports, Cozumel and Progresso. Â Always find something to do there. Â If there are motorcycle excursions to do we do it. Â Carnival used to book them, but they do not do them anymore, at least the cruises we have been on, so we book them in port. Triumph is home ported in Galveston, so we cruise on it a lot
Carnival Vista

Carnival Triumph
Sail date: June 03, 2013
We have been on Conquest, Spirit, Magic,Miracle and Triumph. We live near Galveston and to have access to 2 Carnival ships is great. Triumph is a "party" ship as it goes out for 5 days. Entertainment wise the Triumph is great. Waitstaff we had were fun to be around and with. We are going out on the Triumph again next month. Really recommend the other Carnival ships also. The best trip with Carnival is on the Miracle thru the Panama Canal..we did that one March of last year.. Our opinion
Carnival Liberty
Sail date: March 26, 2016
The liberty had bow thruster issues, so Carnival had to adjust the cruise as they had to rely on tug boat service. Needless to say they were very fair in adjusting the rates, etc. We did not mind as we just like to "ride" as many different carnival cruise ships as possible. I am ex navy and I thought it was fun watching the tug boats work. Same great fun and service!!!
Carnival Valor
Sail date: March 25, 2017
Loved the 2 great shows and the punchliner comedy club. Dancers and costumes were outstanding!! The 2 shows played songs in my generation. Food service was great!! On Lido deck they brought your drinks to you from the beverage area..Alcohol beverages were nice and stout.
Carnival Freedom

Carnival Breeze
The Breeze is a BIG BEAUTIFUL ship. Lots to do and see. The entertainment was great. My favorite was a violin trio that played in the main area. Saw all their shows. We were on Breeze once. If you like the big ships, Breeze is for you. We favor the Conquest ships tho. Smaller.
